  • Yes, basically you want (because this is from a jeans company) to create a shank under the button, lifting it enough to fit thick fabric, but evenly so the button sits flat on top!

  • A good way to leave an obvious hint is to put it in "Saved For Later" of wherever the old grownups shop.

And be specific, or we'll get it wrong! My husband terrorized our wee little girl by getting a Sonic Screwdriver for her stocking. But not the Doctor's SS, the Master's! She's an adult now and that thing is still stuffed in the back of the closet from when she ran away from it.

  • Guess your job doesn't involve saving the lives of hundreds of pregnant women and their babies. I guess if everything you've done over the past 10 years was ripped out and thrown away it would destroy nothing of value and you wouldn't care. And if we hired a bunch of goons to attack you every time you were online and threaten you in person it would have no affect on your mental health. But she did, it was, and it did for her.

  • Tell your wife the situation beforehand, because it's possible the girl will tell lies in retaliation for her hurt feelings. If she's been crushing on you the scenarios are already in her head, she won't even have to make them up. Stay calm and remember you're the adults.

  • Just keep in mind our "SoCal" urban area is pretty fucking enormous, it sort of engulps the areas of natural beauty, connecting multiple cities, and we have too many cars. I love it, but visitors often have unrealistic expectations of how many places they can get to in a day.

  • My husband is quadriplegic, has been our whole marriage, so travel has been very difficult, and as we've gotten older (that toddler's 30 now) it's pretty much impossible. I agree with your point though, too many people put off traveling for retirement and then realize they're not able to enjoy it.

  • Would you take the job if offered, knowing you'd need to restrict your cannabis use on workdays so you're not driving high? If so, why not go for the interview with the same number of hours post-toke as you'd consider driving for the job? If you pass you pass, and if not, maybe a driving-around job is not a good fit for you. If it's not legal, scrap the whole plan, you don't need to be courting legal trouble.
