No, you're getting downvoted because you're only responding to the parts of posts that you want to completely deny instead of engaging with other details.

Now, either continue to prove my point that you're either bad faith or immature to the point of lacking self awareness, or respond to the other points made like how several ways to sort don't even factor in votes like the default "active" or new comments, etc, or how some people actively seek out the controversial posts.

If China were actually communist, they wouldn't have a ruling party, nor would you know the name Xi.

If Russia were actually socialist, no one outside of Russian speaking countries would know the word oligarch, because they wouldn't have any. Nor would they functionally have a dictator.

If the US were actually the land of the free, they wouldn't have the highest prison population in the world nor defended slavery for so long.

The list goes on and on... Just because a country calls themselves something, doesn't make it true.

Now please, if you want to actually discuss it, respond to their points about how many sorting schemes do not factor in votes. Respond to anything except the parts you simply want to deny.

I'd much, much rather be in an echo chamber where BS is questioned and reality is not ignored than a conservative hellscape where basic facts of reality are ignored, like, "tons of CO2 in the atmosphere is totally fine, actually" or, "trans people are corrupting sports!".

No, for the simple reason that some (yes, definitely not enough) politicians are trying to actually do good things, and they can do good things, in theory. Cops are bad because they're enforcers of any and all laws, and nobody has purely good laws, and they're specifically in the business of protecting property over lives, restricting peoples' freedoms/etc.

The only case where all politicians are bad is in pure, actual communism, which cannot exist at this point in history.

You can declare what ever you want. It doesn't make you correct.

A label hijacked by conmen is not an accurate representation of what something is supposed to actually be.

I mean, if you view certain controlling mechanisms that are weilded by terrible people as mere extensions of the terrible people, then it may be worth revising how much bad people have harmed the world.

Every rule has an exception. It doesn't magically make the rule wrong or dumb.

It will pretend that's where it got the info from if that's what you want. ... or rather phrase things that way, since "pretend" implies intent, and it is far, far away from being advanced enough to have its own intent.

Or just not paint the caps, at least not with plastic.
