  • Look, even if Trump comes out and says, “I/Musk/Mussolini directly rigged the 2024 election and Harris is the rightful winner,” it’s not true. The guy lies for the sake of lying. It doesn’t make it any better if we like the narrative.

There is no evidence the 2024 election was rigged, just like there was no evidence in 2020. The cold, hard truth is that this asshole won. This idiot is whom we collectively voted for, and this idiot is what we got. Everything else he says is just bluster meant to grab headlines and distract from what he’s really doing: writing shitty executive orders, and likely soon to be followed by signing off on shittier laws.

  • Maybe XP or 7 based on how snappy it feels? But they’re not really comparable.

TTY is still a thing in Linux and Windows removed that in XP. GUI can vary from classic feeling to more modern than Windows. Package management is leaps and bounds better than Windows.

Windows XP and 7 are a good one to say to Windows users because they’ll remember them as comparatively light and debloated, which is how Linux feels, even though Linux is very much modern.

  • Windows was doing an Ubuntu-like release cycle on 10 with standard releases every 6 months and LTS releases every 2 years. There was no need for them to release Windows 11 other than branding. They could have simply kept up their scheduled release cadence like every linux distro does.

  • Any of the businesses that have hopped on the AI train. $200/month is basically the price of a single Indian call center employee. A company can pay for the AI subscription and fire 90% of the call center, using humans only for escalation.

  • “Side”

This isn’t a sports game, it’s real life.

When I had a yellow jacket nest in my garage, the solution wasn’t “more yellow jackets,” it was to get rid of the nest. When your house is on fire, the fire department doesn’t show up with flame throwers to make more fire. When you accidentally poop your pants, the solution isn’t to poop some more.

Yet somehow when the problem is gun violence, people think the solution is somehow more guns and more violence.
