  • The cost of public EV charging is putting people off EV's. 79p/Kwh is more expensive than petrol/diesel. Home charging is cheaper at a tenth of the price but when you are few hundred miles from home it's makes no economic sense.

  • I wouldn't be so sure on that. In 1992 it was considered that Labour under Neil Kinnock would easily win the election that year but the nation was reluctant as memories of the 70's remained. History could repeat itself. Labour needs to try harder if they want to win. The Tories could still hoodwink the nation yet again.

  • The Tories were scared of the rise of the right wing UK Independence Party (UKIP), particularly their leader Nigel Farage. In order to try to stop losing voters to UKIP David Cameron (the prime minister) promised a referendum on EU membership thinking they would not vote to leave. It back fired, he resigned, and the shit show began. The vultures descended to make political and monetary opportunities despite the damage it would do to the country.

  • It's a nationwide thing which to be honest I have not noticed with R's.

However, you are correct in the dropping of T's where preceded with a vowel. The T is pronounced from the back of the throat like the smallest of coughs or throat clearing. I'm not even sure how to phonetically spell it but the closest is "up" without the p. It's crap, silly, lazy.

    Wa(u)er Bu(u) Ye(u) I(u)...

... and so it goes. It winds me up when I hear it and correct them with "There's a T in water... tttt". Petty but annoying.

Don't get me started on "like", that's another awful habit.

  • The Tories have been taken over by the Loony Right. They are now a populist right wing party devoid of leadership, courage, morals, compassion, integrity, capability and indeed honesty. They are more concerned with lining their friends' pockets first, their party a close second and our country last.

In 2015 the Tories ran scared of UKIP and offered a Brexit vote to appeal to the right wingers. The rest is history and is about to repeat itself again.

Being a Tory politician is all about grand standing and who can shout the loudest whilst racing to the bottom of the barrel.

They are not fit for any purpose in any office of public duty.

  • One or two hours at most, sometimes zero. I asked my wife recently as to when did we watch anything on TV that wasn't recorded or streamed. It's been months. Most things watched on the TV is streamed via Netflix, BBC iPlayer, ITVx.

We've never had satellite, no cable, but just use streaming and digital terrestrial Freeview. The TV is pretty much an extension of our mobile phones.
