What’s going to happen to volunteers in similar positions who aren’t making money and deal with the same thing and what kind of tools are there going to be put in place to help them???
They can just not. This isn't Facebook. There's no advertisers to please here.
If lemmy properly let me view comment context, I'd gladly quote it. But we both damn well know the only reason you're commenting here is because you wanted to defend the usage of homicide rate by state to argue that DC is governed well. Because that's literally the fucking subject of the conversation you started.
So then go ahead and actually provide the evidence that republican governance is specifically responsible for homicide rate, and an argument for why I should place it above all else as the method of determining ability to govern, alongside your reasoning for considering congress to be a solely Republican body. Until you actually do any of that, I see no reason to consider idiots spamming irrelevant statistics to be good faith participants.
It quite literally is. Bringing up that random states have higher homicide rates is entirely irrelevant to the quality of governance in DC, and was obviously just a way to try and shift the discussion without having to actually defend DC.
If one look at the statistics and account for density, then it’s clear that Republicans simply cannot govern
Ahh, yes. "the statistics". The all-encompassing, value agnostic set of numbers that objectively determine ability to govern. Definitely an extant piece of information.
