  • Emergency vehicles cause quite a lot of fatalities. They are also taught how to drive at speed and motorway driving should have less crashes. It's intersection and corners that causes issues.

Not American so no. Not how all places operate.

People break the limit all the time. Speed isn't really the problem with drivers. It's attention. Speed is a factor as you can't react as fast but phones and other issues.

Sources. My dad was a firefighter for 30 years.

  • So they can extend it but the quality will be reduced and likely I won't be able to have kids. It was already pretty shot due to surgical trauma. Likely I just won't be able to sire children.

Probably best for the world in that case

  • No they wouldn't break the speed limit. But less people would die from car crashes. So in fact they would be better. Just not in this situation. Which again is incredibly rare.

It never ever breaks speed limit. It doesn't have to. No situation requires you to put your life above others.

  • Unfortunately no. The issue is. I worked under my supervisor that has been at the forefront of this tech for years.

The issue is men refuse to get the injection or any contraception that has side effects. Time and again the biggest obstacle for both men and women was that the procedure was not 100%.

Therefore the side effects could be permanent. Same as women but for some unknown reason both men and women were not happy to take the risk with a sperm reduction system that could fail in 2 ways.

It doesn't stop sperm or it doesn't stop stop sperm. The risks were too great that it wouldn't be reversible or it wouldn't be as effective as condom or pill. Both bring 99%.

  • Second display is kinda gimmicky. I have zero use cases but happy to hear some.

Better zoom is good but that's not really hardware. Selfies don't impact most of the population but again not really innovation there.

I don't need stylus and most people don't need it. There's plenty gimmicks but I think real innovation is over. Maybe a last few spurts but nothing much.

    Move to the next thing.

Biggest thing for me it to completely remove phones.

Smart glasses / contacts. Whatever floating screen.

I think best system would be hearable smart watch and larger battery system with a powerful soc.

All info syncs between the system. You don't actually have the phone out. It houses the power and brains

  • Oh totally but I think innovation is dead in the smartphone era. Only so much you can do with a glass slab. All ones have basically stagnated. Pixel, apple and all the Chinese branda.

OnePlus used to in it's hayday really push the boat out. Now phone companies are trying to cannibalize each other.

Only so much growth once everyone has a smartphone.

I think it's just refinement now. Refinement on software and then try to find the next thing.

Yeah I think better software. Open source and modular. Sure it blaster. Solid state battery. Maybe bendable like a slap bracelet.

  • Yes. We do need infrastructure. Not what your comment said though. Unfortunately there no infrastructure to the nearest village so no chance it's coming even further out.

What does being on the same transport change ? What are you getting at ? What's the point in this ?

You don't think "we" should allow people to love rural?

Who is this "we" why are you deciding for the masses where they should live?

Only farmers are allowed to love rural. Are you perchance a child or something.

I've not and I think it is you who is "slightly" out of touch with reality. Maybe check in on that one aye.

More public transportation would benefit all.

Of you actually built proper transportation with hubs that link into more transportation then we could spread out a live more rural.

  • Fuck are you on about?

There's no public transportation here. I'd need to drive an hour to the nearest city. In which case I no longer require the public transportation.

Why would I be better than anyone? I'm worse off not better.

I have more money and time because I live rural.

What are you even trying to say ?

  • True. But more so you need companies to get into it. They are the ones buying. Plus you would computer-literate staff to get a router with the capability to run a secure VPN. I don't even know if it's possible. I don't see why not. But maybe bandwidth isn't capable
