  • Yeah after a while, I figured out we can sideload Apollo app and since then using Reddit again for some communities that are not really active here.

Do I feel bad? No, I don’t. My answer will be very selfish but, I will do what is ‘good for me’ and what suits me.

  • Want to continue playing Last Of Us Remake Part 1, start FF16 and replay Alan Wake 2.

However, my monitor kind of died and searching for a new one.

  • I use(d) Pinterest to collect fan-dom stuff and wallpapers. Each board for a movie, series, anime or game.

Nowadays I just search for a wallpaper and hope it isn’t AI, download it and leave the platform again. There’s no use on actually using the platform for what its intended (pinning, saving and sharing). Almost anything you do gets flagged by their AI bot for “inappropriate, adult or violence”.

I mean, they flagged a plant as “adult” content and smiling Luffy face as “violence”. Oh I forgot, their platform is just one giant advertisement crap now. 3/4 of the screen will be taken up by a video/gif of an advertisement.

  • Never tried it but I’m worried that they (too) will use AI for moderating and all that. AI as moderator for deleting, flagging and stuff is a bad idea.

Just look at Pinterest’s mess with AI that removes pins and ban accounts for no reason.

I’ll probably wait when Digg is rebooted and see how the early-adopters write about their experiences.

  • I have been searching for one, for a year or two. Ever since they keep removing pins for the most mundane things or literal no actual reason.

  • Yeah, I got that one too. I just immediately blocked the account and gave it no thought.

  • I LOVE the new design and for me it’ll replace Voyager (for now).

  • I actually had this issue months ago, I kept seeing everything on Instagram regarding a particular major problem. Seeing the deaths of innocents and the governments cheering it on just made me angry, moody, anxious and an immense hate towards humanity in general.

I was also jobless in these months (glad got work now) and that made it worse.

    Eventually I heavily restricted myself;

    • Only 30 mins of scroll in Instagram, checking the news and such.
    • No talks about politics for at least a month.
    • Read more books to dive in.
    • Play fun games (Mario Wonder, Captain Toad Tracker, Mario kart and Catherine Full Body).

Got a job now but I still keep most of the things I restricted myself. Despite everything, I’m in a much better mindset than before.

  • Permanently Deleted

    Jump
  • I’m planning to watch this one, got told it’s quite good.

  • Oh yeah, lets do that and see that everything going into chaos.

Pinterest lets their AI do checks on pins and totally (non violated ToS) images get deleted. Accounts getting permanent banned because their AI claims images are violating their ToS (I guess plants and houses are violent).

What could go wrong, nothing eh? /sarcasm.

  • It’s one of their business models, so of course they do. Sony, Xbox and Epic Games.

I don’t like it either but that’s the current world we live in and until majority stop purchasing the exclusives, they will keep doing it.

  • Sony sucks, using your money to try and buy exclusives is toxic garbage behavior, they deserve any criticism and troubles they come across.

I understand that exclusivity on games can be shit but if, I remember well lots of PlayStation games are already on PC (spider man, last of us and ghost of Tsushima) and steller blade will be soon too.

Not only that, Xbox and Nintendo have exclusives too. Not to forget about Epic Games and their exclusive deals.

  • I, unfortunately, have to agree and that’s why - most of the times, I just check Lemmy posts through RSS-Feed.

I sometimes hop onto Voyager and comment on posts/ articles. But the more hostile, twisting of words and such are happening. The less I will be using Voyager to comment and just use the RSS-Feed to see the posts.

I really liked Lemmy in the early days when people went from Reddit to Lemmy. Miss those times.

  • I’m genuinely exhausted of Lemmy users trying to manipulate words and comments.

If you oppose "killing innocent civilians" and "fighting back", then that implies that the guys "fighting back" have a good reason and are therefore the good guys.

This is just not true. A group can fight back despite being “the bad ones”. Houthis have long claimed that Israel is their enemy but they started to take down ships and such because of Israel’s murdering in Gaza (hence fighting back for the Palestinian people).

Anyway*, like I said, I’m exhausted of the twisting words. So I will let it as it is.

Let's be real here, the Houthi would have shot at Israel ten years ago, if they had the means. Gaza is just a justification for them. Again, they want to kill all jews. Not just Israel, all jews.

Houthis have sworn that Israel is their enemy long before this. So yes, of course they would attack Israel. No, they are not using Gaza as a justification because they announced Israel is their enemy long before the entirety of 7th October and Israel’s genocide.

I will stop respond because, I’m about to sleep. After that, it is a new day and I won’t comment either. However, please, stop trying to twist and manipulate people’s comments. Debates can be respectful, meaningful and without manipulation.

  • You’re right but the first comment sounded to me as a justification for Israel to murder more innocent people (which I genuinely believe will happen).

    EDIT;

if those guys are the ones you're rooting for...

Just because I’m giving a counter argument to someone, does not directly mean, I would support any of the sides. I notice an influx of this manipulation of words and comments. Kind of disappointed.

That would be like me now saying “if those guys [IDF] are the ones you are rooting for…” just because you mentioned that Houthi’s are not the good ones.

  • Israel is actively murdering innocent civilians (men, women and children). Israeli strikes kill 33 people in Jabalia refugee camp in Gaza, medics say and that article is one out of hundreds.

That is not fighting back, that is bombing and murdering random civilians

The Houthis keep shooting at civilians. Pretty expected the world would defend their people.

Your first comment (the one above) looks like it gave a justification for Israel to murder more innocent civilians.

  • Israeli regime is actively murdering innocent civilians. Pretty expected groups like Houthis would fight back.

  • Lemmy has a bit more active users which is great. However, I have also noticed that Lemmy has gotten similar things as Reddit these days. Different opinions are not welcome, quick/ angry comments (politic community though)

However, Lemmy now has a decent app(s) such as Voyager. I also love that Lemmy does not restrict/ block users from using swear words (at least the instance I’m on does not).

Though in all honesty, I mostly use an RSS-feed such as Reeder and InoReader.

  • I’m satisfied and proud of myself (sounds ego-ish but hear me out). When I was a kid, I was in a school for children that could (or would) not learn. All you learnt was basics of life and at 18 you just work without a degree.

I worked my way up in education from lower education to now having a bachelor degree in Finance (the exact degree everyone told me, I would never be able to get).

I’m currently taking a bit off, trying to find work and might go for master degree or something else in my country that’s equivalent to the CPA of US.

I often silently say Fuck You to the family members who always told me “you can’t do it”, “just give up” and that shit.
