  • Thanks for the insight, this is crazy. We are looking for houses right now here in Germany, and and the last one we visited was 269 m² for around 500.000€ and 30 minutes drive away of the inner city of the next major city. I hope politics does something about your problem, it can not stay like this.

  • It would be nice if a monopoly would lead to the user getting the best possible product, but that is unfortunately not the case. Companies rise and fall through the enshittification and other companies have the opportunity to fill this gap. There will always be someone to fill the gaps. And is that so bad when companies only have a limited life span and new companies get a chance and bring in fresh air?

  • I always found it funny that it is called "dachshund" in English. In German it is called "Dackel" and "dachshund" would be translated as "badger dog". I don't think that a badger is really meant here, but that the language has just developed a bit strangely (like with the word ampersand).

  • The common good and environment of a nation has priority over cheap tourism, so I don't necessarily see that as a problem. Especially when the number of annual tourists exceeds the population by a factor of five in the case of Iceland, I can understand why some residents would like to reduce it.

  • I never used dating apps in my life, so just a short question: Is Tinder only about looks? Or could you also be successful if you have a good job or house or something like that? Do people look at the profiles or do they select only from pictures?
