  • Heard some people at my work complain about a change enacted 5 or so years ago. They blamed Obama.

  • In my coffee. Haha. I weigh out the amount of coffee I need before I grind it. That said, I also exclusively make cold brew, so I'm typically making enough for a few days.

  • I thought my cat was strange for this same behavior. I should have known he wasn't the only one. He will borrow under the blanket himself if I don't have an entrance for him. Or paw at my leg until I make him one.

  • A lot of the tiny critters responsible for decomp are aerobic, though, right? So once the air in the suit ran out they'd die, too.

  • I wonder what decomp would be like on the Moon. I imagine at worst this dino would be a mummy, but it'd be pretty wild to find a barely rotten T Rex.

  • I think a legitimate concern for that one is what do you define as a disability worth terminating the baby's life for. Some would likely abuse it for eugenics.

  • I see you've read Dune

  • I received a small (6-ish spaces) hydroponics kit two Christmases ago, and grew a few strawberry plants in it last year following the instructions that came with it. We never really got any strawberries off of them, but the plants themselves did wonderfully until the cats got to them.

This year I'd like to try something more "useful", like fresh herbs or micro greens (both of which are rather expensive to buy where I live). Does anybody have tips for how to start these, and places (in the US or that ship to it) that might carry seeds for the micro greens? I'm also concerned about running out of the "fertilizer" that came with the kit.

  • Looking at some screenshots, that may have been Dementium Remastered as mentioned above by SturgiesYrFase. I'm not sure if it got a demo, and I hadn't heard of it until about an hour ago, but it's a guess.

  • Nice. I forgot about Federation Force (mostly I just remember the controversy with it not being what fans expected or something), but I have never heard of either of the others. I will have to look into them.

The 3DS has such a wide range of genres (although it is heavily biased toward RPGs and Platformers) that I'm not surprised there are more than one FPS for it. Wasn't there one called Ironfall? Or was that one was 3rd person?

  • Unless you consider Ace Combat an FPS, the 3DS doesn't really have any of them that I know of. You'd be better off playing the old DS ones. If you count Homebrew, your options expand a lot. Doom and Quake play wonderfully on the New3DS with the C nub.

As far as my favorite games on it: wow, there are so many. Shin Megami Tensei IV (and Apocalypse), Fire Emblem Birthright, Animal Crossing New Leaf, Pokémon, Monster Hunter 4U. The list goes on.

  • Making friends on sites like this can sometimes yield invites. There are also usually communities specifically dedicated to giving out invites. And if all else fails, some trackers have open invitations (either time-limited or with some kind of interview).

A common method is to get your feet wet with an easier to get into private tracker and use the invitation threads in it to get into the ones you want.

  • The organization and typical submission requirements are what really put them over public trackers for me.

Public tracker: It's this big and this many files. Figure it out.
    Private tracker: All the metadata

Experience may vary. Post is overly dramatic for comedic effect

  • Although at that point he had already murdered children

  • Persona 5 Royal

Thank you for the opportunity! I've been pleasantly surprised at the quality of games I've played this year. Finally finished Horizon Zero Dawn after it "clicked" for me, and Forbidden West is so far an improvement in almost every way. Spider-Man 2 was nearly perfect (besides using a version of a character that I guess was designed to give you more stuff to do). I bought Hogwarts Legacy for my significant other and was surprised to find how relatively complex the combat was (especially compared to the old PS2 Harry Potter games). And I finally got into Shin Megami Tensei with 4 and have had a blast.
