  • It's insane. I swear that some liquor stores I go to have a craft beer section that's 90% IPAs... and another 5% that are basically IPAs with cutesy names like "Super Duper Pale Ale."

  • The physical limitations are an important difference. A human can only read and remember so much material. With AI, you can scale that exponentially with more compute resources. Frankly, IP law was not written with this possibility in mind and needs to be updated to find a balance.

  • The problem is that punishes the kids a lot more than the parents. Quite frankly, if they send their kids to school unvaccinated without medical documentation, they should be getting vaccinated at school. Parental rights are not absolute. Plenty of kids were vaccinated at my school as a kid, and it was generally ones whose parents couldn't afford to go to the doctor so nobody made a fuss.

  • Vegas already has a poorly implemented monorail.

  • Could you use the handle Gheorghe Mureșan and exclusively use decks over 300 cards? You'd have to learn Romanian for the bit to work though.

  • The asscrack photos would probably help, but I'm sure they'd let you use a proxy shuffler who wasn't otherwise playing in the tournament. Maybe that's the loophole. Get into a terrible car accident, and hire a giant to shuffle for you.

  • I used to root against the Golden State Warriors solely because they played at the Oracle Arena.

  • It's still unlimited (with a minimum) for constructed as far as I'm aware, except EDH at exactly 100. You just have to be able to shuffle the entire deck unassisted without resorting to piles and stuff. It would also be a terrible strategy to dilute your best cards since there can only be four copies. I'm sure there's some crazy gimmick deck that works with 250 cards that only Shaq can play.

  • It's interesting that these people God talks to like this are only ever told they've been chosen. I never hear someone saying, "Well, God spoke to me last night. It turns out I should just chill the fuck out and mind my own business."

  • I don't necessarily disagree with your overall point, but GDP is just a measure commonly used to designate an economic recession. Downward movement in GDP is not the definition of a recession, though it's a reliably used indicator. There's a reason the US uses a voting body of economists to say there's a recession rather than an algorithm linked to GDP numbers.

  • Calling it opinion is too generous. It's basically a print ad for the Electronic Payments Coalition, a lobbying group for credit card companies of which the author is executive chairman. They have spent a lot advertising against this, primarily the Hands Off My Rewards campaign.

  • I agree for any game that's open world/has side content/etc. I don't like feeling like I can't do stuff because the world will end if I take a detour. It's ok for more linear/on rails games where it builds tension, and there's nothing else to do.

I loved Cyberpunk, but that part was annoying. It also made the narrative a little less impactful when I'd spend a while fucking around, and that should mean I'm already dead by now.

  • Was that the Adam Kinzinger one? It's a low bar, but I'll give him a modicum of credit for saying his vote against the first impeachment was cowardice and that he'd vote for Biden in 2024 if Trump is the Republican nominee. Doesn't totally feel like a lesson learnt that he still considers himself a Republican, though.

  • Since there's no thumb on the outer of the hand facing the viewer, we must assume it's someone else next to her copping a really deep feel. Not to say that answers your question.

  • That would be terribly boring. It would take the art, nuance, and fun out of language. It would also curtail the development and evolution of language. Can you imagine language without innuendo or double entendre?

  • Location is a major issue. A lot of empty housing stock is in places no one wants to live in anymore. There is a lack of housing in high demand areas. There's no silver bullet, but converting commercial real estate in those high demand areas is ideal to add useful housing.

But yes, corporations sucking up residential real estate needs to be tackled just the same.

  • Took long enough. Now let's see if they can give an option to turn off Lotus 1-2-3 compatibility stuff like single quotes starting a cell being hidden as markup.
