RFK Jr tried this before in 2022. He's been trying to get the FDA to revoke approval for the vaccine, probably to snowball it into "we need to revoke all vaccine approvals".

It's New York, they could easily go pretty much anywhere without being clocked as anything weird.

This is exactly my thought. C-levels are going to want competent security and not Rent A Cops, which costs. Companies which provide those services already charge a decent chunk of change for it, and the rates will likely go through the roof now. Additionally, I think they'll find that these "security consultants" will suggest absolutely unacceptable lifestyle changes for them to minimize areas of concern. Much easier to secure a house than a whole nightclub, or golf course.

Also, anyone who's actually been involved in international politics, LIKE TRUMP DID FOR FOUR YEARS, should know that one does not "joke" in international politics. One assumes that the words coming out of one's mouth will be taken at face value, no matter how many "it was a joke" retractions and posts and apologies you make.

Because they're heated and actually safe to drive and don't break down every two months like the old mail vehicles.

Trump himself, and several of his Cabinet, have stated they believe they are a "post-Constitution" administration. I fully believe this means that they intend to ignore constitutionality, and I don't have a doubt in my mind that his backers in Congress and on the Supreme Court will support him doing so.

This is effectively him channeling his favorite president, Andrew Jackson: "the court has made their decision [that what I did was illegal], now let them enforce it." Without anyone willing to enforce consequences, real consequences, not a lot will stop them from simply ignoring the Constitution.

Eh, I wouldn't count on either of these being STRICTLY NECESSARY. Trump and his cronies have shown considerable willingness to simply bypass restrictions and do things that are blatantly illegal or "don't work that way", and it would not surprise me if he's willing to play ball with white nationalists and rearranges state lines via executive order.

This is his strategy. He thinks diplomacy is just walking into the boardroom and saying "alright, what do you want" so long as it's not YOUR stuff you're giving up. Trump is perfectly happy to give up OTHER PEOPLE'S STUFF, other people's territory and homes and even lives so long as it's not HIS stuff, HIS territory, HIS life.

And these C-levels are all gonna get private, armed security baked into their comp packages now - the guys who are actually competent, not John With His Dad's Revolver.

This goes up further, I assume, if it's likely the killer has fled across state and potentially national borders. It's been 72 hours - given that sort of headstart, a fake ID or two, and a willingness to burn cash on travel, I could be anywhere I damn well pleased.

See, here's the scary part - through the theory of original intent, and with enough creative wording, SCOTUS can find interesting ways to end-run around constitutional protections, and there's very little recourse to this if enough of the court goes along with it (and if cases are brought dealing with these specific issues). Additionally, it actually wouldn't be that hard to disenfranchise voters - simply drop them off voter rolls, continually. I have a friend who had to reregister twice with his state in the last 8 years because a good chunk of his entire county's population got purged from the rolls. There's, again, very little recourse on this because enforcement of compliance with things like federal law rests entirely on the federal government, and the incoming admin has shown a willingness in the past to simply ignore enforcement of things they don't want to enforce.

Overwhelming force is sometimes the best option. Know when to back off, but fear is an excellent motivator to not fuck with someone.

Especially just murdering you. Lot harder to get a corpse to testify that they didn't do it. Makes it a LOT easier to say "well, they did it, but they're dead now, case closed."

Yeah, every hour they don't have this dude in custody makes them look incompetent, especially for the billionaire class who have so far provided a LOT of cover for the police. This makes the NYPD look especially bad, given their nationwide rep as "the best PD in the country" among us plebs and the fact that their numbers eclipse several small national militaries.

I feel like you're right. Eventually they'll find someone to scapegoat, either murder them in custody or railroad them into life in prison, and wash their hands of the whole thing because the aristocrat class wants SOMETHING done about this.

You can also film them. Doxxing Nazis is a time-tested method, because even in the modern climate, a lot of them do not want to be known as "hey aren't you that guy who was at that neo Nazi march" around the coffee maker at work on Monday.

Don't forget basically keeping the secondhand market prices for Pokemon games high by never rereleasing old games, or making old games available to play on new consoles.
