  • While I'm personally bias (see right above), from my experience the general content in alt right spaces (I've been on wolfballs, idk about exploding heads tho) is a bit more unhinged than general content on Marxist/left unity spaces. I mean we MLs agree with the "vaguely leftist" person more than a alt right person.

    I personally like to try meeting people where they are and don't block as long as the content isn't harmful. And imho a random person on the internet saying a 19th century philosopher was right is not that harmful, especially compared to people down the alt right rabbit hole (yes I'm oversimplifing).

  • Just thought to mention: Kraków was then part of the territory of the Austro-Hungarian Empire.

    Also while searching around, I've found this article claiming that Vladimir Lenin would " hang out with Polish heavyweight writers like Stanisław Witkiewicz and Stefan Żeromski" in the nearby Zakopane. I was unable to find any evidence for this though. Both of them were in Zakopane or Kraków at the time from what I gather.

  • I can give an educated guess about GDPR:

    Since the European Union have officially endorsed mastodon (social.network.europa.eu) as long as your instance complies with GDPR, you are not liable for actions taking by bad actor using ActivityPub to do bad actory things.

    I am not sure about how that applies to data being sent to non EU servers as lack knowledge about GDPR.
