That's the same as creating a botnet to downvote a post directly, except now you need to plug it into an LLM instead of just running a script. It's way more work.
Idea: enable downvotes, but they don't just lower the ranking of the comment you downvote, they lower the ranking of the top level post. And they have a much larger effect than upvotes on ranking.
Now if you get into a fight with someone in the comment section, nobody will see it because your downvotes on each other will push the whole post into obscurity. Only uncontroversial posts where everyone agrees succeed. Thus, people are incentivised to make posts that everyone can enjoy. If you post something racist and start a fight in the comments, your post gets no upvotes, and the fight is contained from spreading further.
Downside: this system doesn't discriminate between content thats controversial because it sucks and content that's controversial but good. For example, any kind of vegan content is going to be buried. You'll get a much stronger hivemind effect on this social media.
Buy a gun. Participate in direct action and protests. Help organise mutual aid structures. Spread class consciousness. Assassinate a conservative politician. Storm the capital.
I didn't list these things earlier because they require a bigger commitment than being carfree or vegan. I wanted to start with the easy stuff.
I'm biased, but I'm not a hypocrite. I don't claim to be unbiased. Biases are good sometimes. But lying about biases is almost always bad, and that's what this bot is doing.
Money is involved in Fabio novels, but Sonic smut, gay dragon drawings, and cumflation games can all be downloaded for free. If you pay for porn from 2010 onwards, you're either really a big fan of a particular artist and are engaging in a consensual transaction, you're rich, or you're a sucker.
Not true. It implicitly affirms the existence of Venezuela, despite the fact that all countries are social constructs and only exist because we believe in them. Believing in Venezuela is a choice and the article implicitly makes that choice based on no factual evidence. There can never be factual evidence for the existence of a country because they're all fake.
Porn is monetized sex with the purpose of getting money, and with a high degree of abuse and exploitation might I add
That's a heteronormative statement. What you meant to say is that corporate live action porn, which is most popular with heterosexual men, is abusive and exploitative. Who is abused by the writing of an erotic romance novel with Fabio on the cover? Who is abused by aged-up Sonic The Hedgehog smut? Who is abused by a drawing of two gay dragons having sex? Who is abused by a video game about cumflation battles between cum wizards? Who is abused by two trans gay women posting their sex tape on the internet for free with no expectation of payment?
When you make a statement about all of porn, which applies only to the kind of porn straight men consume in massive quantities, you're reinforcing the social myth that straight male sexuality is the only sexuality. You're ignoring diversity and pretending it doesn't exist.
Your empathy for women is impaired by a false assumption. You imagine that you can simply put yourself in the same position with the appropriate change in roles and understand how a woman should feel in that situation. But you're wrong. You're ignoring how a lifetime of oppression creates a context that changes a person's interpretation of a situation. You can't just imagine the situation being reversed, you have to imagine an entire life being reversed.
Only a filthy Star Wars nerd would want to use hyperdrive!
/uj Star Wars has some good and interesting themes, and none of it has to do with FTL technology. If you want a superior version of the same technology with more depth and dramatic implications, look at Halo. If you want what George Lucas was trying and failing to plagiarise, look at Dune. If you want to arbitrarily move around at whatever speed the plot demands or instantly, look at Stargate. And if you want a military fantasy, look at Star Trek. Hyperdrive is an inferior compromise between all four of these better written FTL techs that fails to execute any one idea well. Which is perfectly fine, because Star Wars isn't about hyperdrive. It's about taoist/buddhist philosophy, political commentary on fascism, and the power of individuals in the face of overwhelming systems and impossible odds. None of that has anything to do with how fast a ship moves, the hyperdrive is just a plot device that lets us skip the boring stuff and have more of the stuff Star Wars is actually good at.
Well I am. I'm participating in mutual aid and direct action orgs with the aim of assembling an apparatus for distributing weapons and committing insurrection against the government. Also I don't drive a car or eat meat. My behaviours are designed to stop climate change at every level of action. You won't engage in individual action, and you won't engage in collective action, so what's your big idea? Giving up? No thanks.
So buy one more day for us to have a revolution and end the pollution. If you have 1/100000000000000 the power of an oil CEO, and you still use that power polluting the environment for your own convenience, then what makes you better than them? That you would theoretically have done less damage if only your actions mattered a little more?
It will cause at least one less gram to be emitted. You said nothing, but what you can do isn't nothing. It's just not much. But this is the survival of all life on earth we're talking about.
Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, it's not going to get better. It's not.
