  • Meat Grapes? Why doesn't it sound like that when I say it.

  • So the "other" thread links here, so I'm going to link to them. https://lemmy.world/post/23535522

I think that thread would have been a much better thing to post. However this isn't some secret project, this is a single account that is obviously labeled, so this whole post is just a silly.

    YSK conspiracy theorists exist.

  • anyone who cares can find them pretty easily

I care, I have found nothing similar to what you're discussing.

anyone who reads this and then also reads the misinformation, will be able to see the connection

I just read a post that said Wikipedia was the best website on the internet, was that the misinformation? Someone else donated, was that misinformation? People have shared a variety of thoughts around Wikipedia, most of them are positive, but some are negative.

Negative doesn't mean wrong. Negative doesn't mean misinformation. It might be, but it isn't certain.

  • Re Jane, I don't think it's matter of being worthy. The specific rule applies over the more general rule. The protection of Jane is also an ambiguous one. Hypothetically if Jane were under attack by aliens Mjolnir might have just flew in and defeated the aliens, not transforming Jane.

In terms of Jane actually being worthy, we don't see her a lot in the films. I think the sacrifice she makes at the end of Love and Thunder proves that she is capable of being worthy. However similar to Cap not being able to lift it fully in Age of Ultron I suspect Jane would also be unable to lift it. Of course Mjolnir and Jane (and Thor) spent a lot of time together, so she may be able.

  • Re Cap, I think if old Steve Rogers returned (from the moon) I don't think he would appear as a young(er) Steve Rogers. Similar to how Fat Thor was worthy and didn't change shape, Old Steve would be worthy and not change shape. I agree it has the power to do so, but I don't think it would happen.

  • I can't say I've ever cared about how a game looks.* Sure maybe it's worth discussing, but it's always the last thing on my list.

I played BG3 (Once, all the way, second time up to act 2) exclusively on my Steam Deck in handheld mode. Sure Act 3 has a little bit of lag, but nothing that ever bothered me. All the characters in the game were unique, I know Gale from Karlach from Lae'zel.

*(Discussion about art style or artistic choice being different, Pixel vs cell-shaded vs realistic etc)

  • That's wild that it's a BIOS setting. Just an extra level of fuck you.

  • Episode two is still my favorite, perhaps a bit rushed ending, but I do agree this episode did the best job telling a whole story. Easily could have been a film.

  • The jumping into the canyon reaction shot was beautiful. The classic cutting to each character and then, whoops don't forget who's show it is Watcher reaction.

  • The Rook was a surprise to me, but an obvious one in hindsight. Stane would have been a great build up villain for the whole Iron Man saga in a different universe.

In terms of voice actors I imagine it's not too hard, assuming they sign on, as long as they have at least one episode focused on them. For example we got a quick Oscar Issac earlier in the season, so I assume we'll get more of him later.

  • It's always more fun when mimics team up. A couple of goblins bother the party at night, just enough to give them chase, then when they return, hop into their sleeping bag and boom, mimic.

  • Per Biden's statement,

These commutations are consistent with the moratorium my Administration has imposed on federal executions, in cases other than terrorism and hate-motivated mass murder.

In which case, Robert Gregory Bowers, Dylann Roof, & Dzhokhar Tsarnaev all fit those exceptions.

Interestingly (morbidly?) all of these happened in the last 10 years.

  • That was a fun episode. Cosmic Agatha. If we never get Eternals 2 this is my canon ending, Agatha defeats Arishem and saves the day, now she and Kingo live happily ever after. (And then they break up and plot of Agatha All Along happens.)

I'll be impressed if there is a better episode this season.

  • And a big problem in this game is that it's a pain to switch echoes all the time

It really really is. It's one of the things I noticed in the trailer and just hoped they would have a solution for once I got to play the game.

The game has a hundred or so echoes, and you can solve puzzles in different ways, but some require a very specific echo and some require any, so you basically just use the same half dozen echoes. When you have to switch, it sucks, and so when you don't have to switch you just spam water block or whatever.

It seems like the devs just implemented the echo switching as is and assumed they'd fix it later... But they never did.

It's a fun game but the chances of me replaying it are near zero. Skyward Sword had a similar problem with Fi, although I understand they've mostly fix that in the remaster.

  • Gamma of an episode.

I also didn't recognize Moon Knight. My immediate reaction was who is that? Is that Oscar Issac? Is this a Spider-Man cross over? Oh! Moon Knight!

They were just tossed in and not given much spotlight, which is a shame.

  • I think this was just a weaker episode. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier already convinced me Sam is the leader. The ending conversation was certainly leaderish.

  • Missed opportunity to just lean into 80s style animation. This episode should have been much sillier and not tried to be a serious "this is how it would really work" vibe.

It was a great concept for an episode, but I think the trailer was more fun than the actual episode.

  • Excellent couch co-op, which is a rarity nowadays.

  • It's similar to Star Trek when they observe underdeveloped (Pre-Warp) civilizations, but we're the Enterprise.
