9/11 was a huge boost for the military suppliers, housing crisis got some financial institutions very rich for betting on the collapse. COVID mostly made medical suppliers rich, but also boosted weapons sales (more policing, border control...).

Usually it's pretty easy to see, you just have to look for the interests. Also you can look at the laws and decisions that get passed after these events. Something like a plane crash or titanic sinking is more difficult. But you can usually say that people got rich before that happened and that's usually one of the reasons it's happening in the first place.

A fun and informative podcast for such information is "well there's your problem" which talks about engineering disasters and the aftermath (it's also very funny)

But if you read the articles, you'll see that multiple artists wanted to work with the substance and Kapoor denied them access. Not the maker, but Kapoor himself. AND he stole the Pink that another artist patented just to be petty

Yes I have done something similar on a bigger scale. I've participated in a reading/discussion circle that spanned about 200+ people in different countries. We've all read a philosophical book and there were cards that had most of the chapters' contents on them, so you didn't necessarily need the book. We were encouraged to find a reading partner close by to discuss a chapter per week. I still meet up with my reading partner regularly even months after the project ended.

It was the only way I would have worked through the complex book. I wouldn't have done it alone.
