  • Will be curious to see if they ever add transient timers for commands. Google will happily turn off the lights in 5 minutes as a command. In Home Assistant I'd have to go in, create a timer helper, add the light to turn off....

  • Distributed work is here to stay: It’s estimated that 48% of all knowledge workers will either be working fully remotely or in a hybrid environment by the end of 2023, and that 70% of the global workforce will work remotely or from flexible locations at least five days a month by 2025.

That is really funny for Google to acknowledge.

  • Also I'm totally fine with Outlook adding this (as they have).

Some emails just need a 👍🏻, not an actual response.

  • Power is USB-C, but the ports aren't because most PC accessories are still USB-A

  • The rest of the world doesn’t use SMS/RCS/iMessage as much as WhatsApp and the like, so the US is pretty much lagging behind everyone else on this anyway.

Not sure I want to end up with Facebook controlling my messaging...

  • Someday, school stuff like proctortrack will work with Firefox.... someday..

  • Better off just using Firefox - I doubt they'd repeat all of the work of duet after removing it

  • They require the car to be parked.

    As noted in the article:

The apps, which are obtainable through the Play Store, are only accessible while parked,

  • Brilliant

  • I remember the friends list basically being nonfunctional.

    How far Steam has come..

  • Kind of nice that the USB in isn't an attached cable. Means you can replace the cable instead of throwing out the dock

  • If I can't have both, I'll take either this, or working 4 days (i.e. 32 hr) a week.

  • Tbf, it does have better color reproduction - but "significant" is probably subjective

  • Plus, if you have a SO the Switch is a lot cheaper to keep both of you preoccupied...

  • In that case, why not just use Pixelfed?

  • I mean, management has always spoken in such word salad jargon.

  • Honestly not surprising - the Russian war against Ukraine has demonstrated how hollow Russia is, and the brain drain has been constant. Russia has proven incompetent at space, especially when it comes to telling the truth.
