It do be like that

  • Sort of a grave misunderstanding of how DEI initiatives work

You hold the position open until you find someone with the skills that fill that box.. by the very definition you aren't just ticking a box

  • Also the most accessible - just literally go to a website - don't even have to login if you don't want.

DeepSeek you have to install a fucking chrome extension (good luck doing that at work), or you have to create an account.

OpenAI still following the bigtech trend of "get them hooked for free, then make money"

  • Also, incredibly creepy - this means they crawled his Facebook page to get his face and then used the creepy surveillance program to pick him up.

Imagine being the security dude working for this company and going "yea boss, we can make sure the guy saying mean words is banned"

Shit, I'm probably banned now. Fuck Dolan.

  • Microsoft will end OneNote support, and the app will no longer receive new features and security updates. As such, users are strongly recommended to migrate to OneNote for Windows desktop app

Is this the UWP version, or just the "windows 10" version?

The non-x86 version is absolutely awful and deserves to die - the desktop version is fine, and not a bad tool for organizing notes and taking meeting notes when your company uses Microsofts tool house (i.e. you have no choice).

  • I believe the work is so extensive that they had to publish it as a book

Just based off the pages linked in the article, it seems pretty well researched and contains examples of hostile governments - though I do share that skepticism with this regime...

  • 3.5% isn't just a random number, it's theorized to be the number you need to institute change.

I do hope we reach that number, but I suspect the Trump administration would threaten that hypothesis...

Looking at hundreds of campaigns over the last century, Chenoweth found that nonviolent campaigns are twice as likely to achieve their goals as violent campaigns. And although the exact dynamics will depend on many factors, she has shown it takes around 3.5% of the population actively participating in the protests to ensure serious political change.
