That's not as bad I guess. I'm not in the US and I remember once watching an entire episode of House of Cards on my phone during the commercial breaks of a movie on TV.
I watched some TV with family during Christmas. I had forgotten just how much of a time drain commercials are. Sure it's more generic and some can be fun but it's not worth it to lose an extra half hour for a one hour show. And I don't think the times have changed, it was the same when I was a kid.
I tried to keep a positive note, after all it is progress even if the whole project wasn't exactly a success. I didn't know about the unfinished tests, that's pretty concerning given our track record with trains. You actually still can't pay with a card or buy reduced tickets but at least the machines give change now. The short line is not so much a problem as long as each extension doesn't take another decade. Pretty much spot on on everything else and I'd like to add two more small issues.
Thessaloniki is terrible with parking and there was zero regard for parking spaces around the stations, adding extra load to these areas
I don't know if this will be better maintained but the Athens metro has way too many elevators and escalators constantly out of order. The stations here rely too much on escalators and it will be a pain going two levels down when half of them are not working. There's also no phone coverage but maybe that's fixable.

Huh I actually watched that without knowing it's from the same guy. I just thought Germans make good movies/shows. Now that you say it it does feel similar to both shows.
They wouldn't work by themselves (for the desert island thing) but there are two season finales I love. Dark season 2 and Mr Robot season 3. Two great seasons with tension being built up and these gave just the perfect ending.
The moment I read Travelers I knew which episode it was going to be. I didn't like the show that much but it played with some very interesting concepts and this was best shown in that episode.
Considering the ages there's a good chance OP's parents have Facebook accounts where they've posted their faces. I don't know if there's a (paid) tool that lets you search by facial recognition but it's not too far fetched. That is if they haven't posted this exact picture themselves. I'd say it counts.
When learning a programming language I think it's better to find the commands you'd use to compile/run the program and run them in the terminal the first few times so you know what's actually happening behind the run button. Then start running things through the IDE if it's more convenient. If you tell us the language we can help with the commands (is it C?)
It does have an option to only scan after pressing the button. But it gets a bit weird if you just pressed the button to lock the screen as there seems to be a mini race condition somewhere in there.
I generally switch between Sony Xperia and the Samsung A series, I'm currently with Sony. This is an unpopular opinion but the side fingerprint scanner really bothers me. It's too good compared to the under display scanner and the phone keeps getting unlocked on accident when trying to look at the time or even turning off the screen. Plus I had to register 4 different fingers to cover all hand positions. It's a good phone otherwise.
I was actually considering getting an ulefone armor at some point but the bad software stopped me. As most of your issues are with software you should probably keep away from the really cheap brands.
A British tourist riding on the worst metro line left her (expensive) phone on the seat and went behind the seat to look at the metro map. Even stayed there while the doors were open and at least me and three more people could have easily snatched it and left. I don't think the subway in the UK is much better so not sure what she was thinking.
