  • Yeah i noticed the issue, i was just talking about maybe having an instace to just experiment or just to make the main instances less crowded. I wanted to make a personal instance just for me but it reached the limit of my current knowledge so now I'm stuck. I wanted to do it on a single Raspberry pi but it somehow doesn't work, but that's off topic. The moderation of the own instance is entirely another issue that you have to think about when trying to make a big instance

  • Doing it with your phone is also great if you have a solid case. You can do it with your hand if you have a ring that isn't soft like gold or silver

  • But it works on jerboa

  • Making your own instance is easier than you would expect you just need a capable server if you want it to grow

  • It feels safer as there are a few sites with a good reputation which is just easier to find which makes me feel safer. Idk if it is really safer than with software.

  • I'm pretty new and extremely cautious with pirated software, i still need to find the precautions i have to take, luckily pirating games is much safer and easier than pirating software

  • Is it smart to test if it is malicious in a vm first?

  • The person seems quite serious with it in the other comments

  • I think he mistakenly referred to the firefox group of things like the password manager, the browser still has the fox logo

  • It's now iaomi

  • I'm a german and made an account with a throaway email so i could help the german artworks because i really like the community around the german r/place engagement. I'm not planning on using that account after place is done so I also used a randomly generated password which i didn't save. I just want the fun and community of last years e/place again.

  • You can do it with winget: winget install Mozilla.Firefox

  • That took a bit of time for me too
