  • THIS is a key point that most don't understand. There are some auto mod filters that will automatically block your post or comment, but it doesn't result in a ban. Site wide bans happen because of "reports" which draws the attention of Admins

  • You are correct about "pre-emptive obedience." Reddit's auto mod removes many more posts now automatically. If you go to the moderator queue it will show all "removed" posts and comments. It will tell you what rule/s were violated. Sometimes it even suggests that you ban the user from your group. You can over rule the "removal" but if you do you risk reddit just banning the whole group mods and all.
