  • You just had to ruin my fun of having an excuse to shave my balls

  • This perm ban lasted 2 days. The reddit ban bullshit is really getting out of hand. I've made many posts here regarding how their "report" system is totally fucked up. Yet they continue to allow those who spend their days "reporting" posts and comments. The tool admin then site bans you. You make a coherent logical appeal and eventually an Admin who is sane reinstates you. I have never seen or experienced this nonsense with Lemmy. I wish we could get more exposure over at reddit as an easy to deal with alternative. Also - this has been mentioned before, But - would you rather interact with a post that has 40 or 50 comments max like Lemmy or the usual reddit thing of 500 comments which insure that no one will ever read your comment

  • So what I don't understand is if it works as you say, which I do believe is true, then why the fuck do they jerk you around with taking this off, or that off. It's all just bullshit. It's bad enough that I have to deal with tools on the plane but you just have to fuck with me just to get on the plane

  • Would I be able to fool the scanner if I completely shaved my member and scrotum, and then tucked my member under my thigh?

  • Agreed. Why can't we have attendants at the door. They just reach down the front of your pants. It's simple and helps the economy adding jobs. And I'll bet they would be overwhelmed with applications. Many of the attendants would say, "Sorry we ran out of vinyl gloves so I need to shove my bare hand down your pants"

  • I believe what you are saying but really didn't think the scanners were capable of actually seeing your genital area as if it was an Xray

  • Agreed and come to grips with the simple reality - if you keep doing the same thing over and over again why would you expect a different outcome. reddit has an overall theme and some keep bumping heads with that theme. Time to move on because YOU are not going to change it. Would you go to an Aquarium expecting to see a zebra?

  • As a former mod also, here's what I found. There is a post or comment in your group. It doesn't violate the rules of reddit. You are not calling for violence. You are not being a jerk to other posters. But what you post does not conform with the narrative that reddit pushes. So a troll that comes to your group goes crazy because there is someone with an opinion that conflicts with theirs. Oh the horror. They "report" the comment or post. An Admin who is probably a jerk since most of them are, is also pissed at "my god" someone with a "bad" opinion sees the report. And now they ban you site wide. So the mods of that group have zero say in it. The ironic part is the Admin clown needs to site a reason in their ban message to the user. And since you haven't violated the rules they just lie. Their new favorite is "calling for violence". In the world of reddit, if you have a contrary opinion you are calling for violence.

The way this should work is Admins who see a report should not site wide ban anyone. The Admins should message the GROUP mods and say remove this post or comment and then ban them from your group for 7 days, a month, etc.

  • Because I really wanted this job I thought long and hard about my answer before finally writing it down in my application. My answer was "a large uncut cock dripping precum". I really thought that I aced it and was so crushed when I didn't get the job.

  • It was a job that I really wanted and was really disappointed when told my answer to this question is what lost me the job

  • Work for a director of a large company. I hear many things. The head of HR immediately comes in to "see" the guy I work for anytime someone has a legit complaint about things in the department. NOT to talk to the director to mediate the issue but how to fuck the person making the complaint

  • excellent shit post. Still laughing

  • Have you read the "shitpost" rules?

  • I agree with you regarding Lemmy and leaning left. But none of us actually learn anything if we are in the right or left hive mind. And though it would be a long shot to form a group with no labels re "no tribes" it would be interesting if we could do it. Lemmy has far too many "dead" communities already. Posts and comments are 6 months or longer ago. We don't need an other which is what we would have without upfront support

  • thanks for the links. I checked. One is really dead. Few posts and many days between them. the other one appears totally slanted to one side.

  • I'm not a fan of reddit. For me it was always a small group of Admins that imposed their control over everyone including the unpaid mods of groups. I've written about this before, but the other thing about reddit is what seems to be their ever changing reasons for banning people. And not just a ban for a week but permanent site wide bans. What I really object to is when a social media platform sells itself as politically neutral but really isn't. There are Trump loyalist groups like patriots win and truth social that tell you exactly what they are. If you dare say anything negative about Trump you are banned forever. And that's OK because you wouldn't want to go there and at least they are telling you upfront what their deal is.

If Lemmy has this, I haven't found it. But there should be a group for political discussion without labels. Regardless of your politics it is illogical to always defend "your tribe" since both sides do and say dumb stuff. The big secret is most people are not actually on the left or right. They are just living their lives trying to get by.

I also will never understand the name calling. If you have a different opinion it's easy enough to have a civil discussion realizing that the other person just has a different point of view. That doesn't make them a bad person.

Many years ago Saturday Night Live made fun of this whole name calling thing. Each week there would be a right vs. left debate of an issue. And the guy on the right always began his rebuttal this way https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gYRVUqNHD9U

So what we all laughed at then is now far to common and accepted today
