Individualism all the way where the main ideology is based on every man for himself and the law of the jungle! You're poor? You have only yourself to blame!. Hooray unfettered capitalism!
Block the communities you don't want to see in your profile settings. That way, you'll see more meaningful posts. That's what I did, I blocked all memes communities.
This topic has already been discussed multiple times. And why is this fraud? The definition of fraud is: "Fraud is an intentionally deceptive action designed to provide the perpetrator with an unlawful gain or to deny a right to a victim. "
In this case, Reddit is capitalist platform and it's trying to change its model so that its shareholders are happy.
iPhones are investment. Apple Care saved my ass several times as they replaced my with brand new ones, and my iPhone 8 Plus is still great. It had updates since 2017 and I have it since 2017.
It will take time. It took Reddit 16 years to get 500 million active users. But Reddit is crap compared to how I remember it back then (2007-2009). I have the utmost confidence that Lemmy will cover niche topics.
My grandfather used to tell me: "What I know is that I know nothing". He used to tell me that even in his old age, he was still amazed by the things he discovered, just like a child. That taught me to always be humble and to understand the point of view of others and to always learn in life. So I will always remember this quote.
I agree with option 1. Lemmy is not Reddit and it should not be a Reddit copycat. These types of bots have no place in Lemmy and we need to deferate with instances that promote these kind of bots.
The concept behind the program is straightforward. Redditors who receive substantial gold and karma from other community members can potentially convert these virtual rewards into real-world money that can be cashed out.
sigh, that's desperation. This means that the discussion on Reddit will not be natural or organic, it will cease to be human. Redditors will be like dogs, where they shitpost and post comments that everyone agrees with so they can make money, basically doing what the master tells them in order to get their treat. Reddit as we know it will cease to exist.
Yeah. Lemmy.world is currently unusable on the desktop. I don't have that problem in Memmy. Growing pains but I hope the problem will be fixed soon. Do anyone know if one of the mods in North America are aware of the problem?
Eh... I have absolutely NO PROBLEMS on Windows, Linux and MacOS. You should know that some extensions can cause problems. Try a new profile.
