  • The thing is, when Beehaw is no longer in Lemmy, it will be a regular VBulletin, phpBB, Discourse, etc. community. Nothing wrong with that.

The question will be: if the change is made, will the users follow? Because a lot of users in this post https://lemmy.ca/post/4990126 have said that they prefer Beehaw to stay in Lemmy because it is a Reddit alternative. It is big risk.

  • Same for me.

  • I hope that since Bathesda is now a Microsoft studio, Microsoft is going to be persistent with bug fixes. But maybe it's a tall order.

  • Being a patient gamer is best. We need to give it at least 6 months for Bathesda to optimize the game and fix the major bugs.

  • That's a really good question to ask Reddit's CEO as he is the one who said that.

  • Dromio05 showed me several posts he deemed questionable since Reddit took away his own mod badge. For example, this post shares a link to an article about "rebel canners," which Dromio05 argues "gives a public platform to people who openly encourage methods and recipes that are known to be unsafe, like canning milk and open kettle canning." The post is labeled unsafe, but Dromio05 would have removed the link to the article.

Another cited example is this recipe for canned sauce. It includes already-canned tomatoes, which experts like the National Center for Home Food Preservation (NCHFP) recommend against, as there's no safe tested process for this. The recipe also includes nuts, though the USDA doesn't have any recommendations for canning nuts, and NCHFP and other experts advise against canning any nuts besides green peanuts.

No comment. Moderators are the key to Reddit's success, and they have been treated like shit and will continue to be treated like shit.

  • Their platform is simple: be against the Democrats platform.

  • I tried that. When I broke my phone twice, case it is.

  • Basically for them, women should only stay at home and their job is only to procreate, sigh

  • Good. When I was young, an energy drink almost gave me a heart attack because my heart was beating too fast. In my opinion, these drinks are dangerous.

  • That's really good news. I hope all governments will do the same. Right now, I only use Twitter to receive notifications from government agencies.

  • When Republicans say Jesus is too soft or too liberal, when pastors literally quote Jesus... Anything is possible now.

Moore told NPR in an interview released Tuesday that multiple pastors had told him they would quote the Sermon on the Mount, specifically the part that says to “turn the other cheek,” when preaching. Someone would come up after the service and ask, “Where did you get those liberal talking points?”

“What was alarming to me is that in most of these scenarios, when the pastor would say, ‘I’m literally quoting Jesus Christ,’ the response would not be, ‘I apologize.’ The response would be, ‘Yes, but that doesn’t work anymore. That’s weak,’” Moore said. “When we get to the point where the teachings of Jesus himself are seen as subversive to us, then we’re in a crisis.”

  • I also enjoyed Andromeda but I just can't get myself to replay it. I replayed the Trilogy multiple times but I just couldn't replay Andromeda, it felt like a chore.

  • It's going to be a long transformation. Football is a male-dominated sport with men at the top. It will be a slow process to change the culture.

  • And this:

and it probably never will support anything other than AT-harddisks

  • The other .ml instances had a .ml free domain. Lemmy.ml paid for the domain so it's in no danger of losing it.

Edit: further proof that it is a paid domain:

  • I think the lifting of the immigration quota needed to be handled better. All three governments needed to work together to have a concerted housing plan to accommodate immigrants.
