  • You're way to late then too. The perfect time to act on this was back in Iraq with that prince dick head with xi.

Also we all should have taken a harder stance at celebrity using these private security companies. Drake's in Toronto blocking roads so he can get all 16 armored cars on to the 401.

Lots of people really defend the stuff by saying "look how much money they bring to the city, we can ignore it" but at the end of the day, it's growing a new industry. I don't get why we don't call it out more like these fucks need to wait in traffic like the rest of us. I don't care who they are or how much money they make. Roads are a public space and shared by everyone equally.

  • What proof do you have that using a left to right rule is universally true?

From my understanding It's an agreed convention that is followed which doesn't make it a universal truth. If we're all doing it just to make things easier to understand, that implies we could have a right to left rule. It's also true that not all cultures right in the same way.

But here is an interesting quote from Florian Cajori in his book a history of mathematical notations.

Lastly here is an article that also highlights the issue.

    https://scienceblogs.com/evolutionblog/2013/03/15/the-horror-of-pemdas

Some of you are already insisting in your head that 6 ÷ 2(1+2) has only one right answer, but hear me out. The problem isn’t the mathematical operations. It’s knowing what operations the author of the problem wants you to do, and in what order. Simple, right? We use an “order of operations” rule we memorized in childhood: “Please excuse my dear Aunt Sally,” or PEMDAS, which stands for Parentheses Exponents Multiplication Division Addition Subtraction.* This handy acronym should settle any debate—except it doesn’t, because it’s not a rule at all. It’s a convention, a customary way of doing things we’ve developed only recently, and like other customs, it has evolved over time. (And even math teachers argue over order of operations.)

  • You're the one not understanding here.

    It's not all that matters.

My point is the left as a group is alienating and isolating themselves from modern tools that the right are utilizing to gain advantageous.

They alienate themselves from these tools by making the same virtuosity grand standing about the evils of AI.

I understand you're saying it's the people using it. To me that is still just driving a wedge in that it creates an attitude that AI is not something the right should adopt since it's a nefarious tool and only people who are bad or nefarious themselves could use a nefarious tool.

  • Those rules are based on axioms which are used to create statements which are used within proofs. As far as I know statements are pretty common and are a foundational part of all math.

Defining math as a language though is also going to be pointless here. It's not really a yes or no thing. I'll say it is a language but sure it's arguable.

And again laws are created using statements. I have plenty of textbooks that contain "statements"

  • It's kind of funny how cyclical the solution is here. Compute needs power. That power is driving climate change. Which kills the bugs which kills the humans which prevents any more bugs from being created.

Thank you for reading my Black mirror fanfic brought to you by noctua.

  • I feel like this answers so many questions about people's views on any new technology. There's so much media with warnings that it has shaped our core beliefs towards anything with a microchip in it

We're all raised on media that was nothing but doom and gloom. And not from any kind of ultra intelligent people creating this stuff. It was pot heads, coked out writers and failed comedians writing outer limits and x files episodes or some hard sci fi about what if everybody was female but like not female they were really genderless females and a dude shows up. Oh man that dude would be so confused.

We never had a chance to not grow up to become Luddites.

  • Yea so let's alienate the left against it while the right embraces it. Fucking brilliant guys. Or or or maybe let's keep spreading reasons the left should hate instead of embrace it so that we allow laws which leave it absolutely gutless for us but still has all the power and features for them to use against us. Then we can get more content from starving artist charging $100 monthly patrons to their Garfield clone webcomic while the right keep winning public opinion and elections and taking away our rights.

Let's see how that plays out cotton.

  • Can you explain how that is? Like with an example?

Math is exactly like English. It's a language. It's an abstraction to describe something. Ambiguity exists in math and in English. It impacts the validity of a statement. Hell the word statement is used in math and English for a reason.

  • Yea but the left also does the same. They don't say everything is going great. But they do exactly the same thing they did last time they said everything was terrible. Therefore they must think what they do works pretty well otherwise you'd think they'd change their methods at some point right?

Like how many things does PETA need to change themselves to before you stop eating hamburgers ya know?

How many people can we fit into a street and how many heads need to be caved in before the left gets some higher taxes right?

  • I did pretty well with it. Could have been better. But I fucked up listening to a lot of the people online who I thought knew what the fuck was up.

If I hadn't deleted my Reddit account I could literally show you others smugly saying "go ahead put your money into it and let me know how it goes" almost every year I was on Reddit. I don't get how or why you guys exist like this. But you do and you're online in droves.

It's such a cool thing to witness. All these crackhead kids you would probably get off on calling dumb who go on to make lots of wealth with something like this. Meanwhile a lot of the super intelligent heroes of the story don't get much further ahead but keep doubling down every year.
