  • Goddamit they’re always doing that. Pilfering plants and animals all around the world.

  • Well, the Russian Orthodox Church is Eastern Orthodox and more than half of all Eastern Orthodox live in Russia 🤷🏼‍♀️

  • Nice! Too bad Russia’s Eastern Orthodox not Catholic.

  • He was great in action/comedy big blockbuster flicks but that Oscar slap made him super insecure and uncool. Like he lost his swag. Will Smith doesn’t sell that he’s That Guy anymore

  • I just can’t believe he asked Winona Ryder if she was an “oven dodger.” Wtf

  • Kevin Hart

    Ryan Reynolds (other than Deadpool)

Will Smith, after that slapping Chris Rock nonsense

Oh and (am Asian and tried to give her a chance but) Akwafina makes me cringe

Honorable mention: Adam Sandler makes me very wary. I get that he likes making movies with friends, but goddang his lows are low. Although recently I thought Uncut Gems was good

  • Hey I work in inpatient psych too and want to back you up. It’s totally a known observation that patients have been coming in younger and younger. And it’s very common to see a history of drug use of some kind (yeah usually for kids it’s weed, if not polysubstance).

Sad to see because once they start coming back to the hospital a few times, it’s like they’re in the system so to speak. Too many kids don’t break out of that cycle. I always discharge kids like, “I hope to never see you again. Don’t come back here” lol.

  • Yeah we’re basically referring to salsa roja lol it’s the most common

  • Been disappointed so many times by store-bought salsa. I don’t like salsas that are pureed smooth like a tomato sauce, and without hardly any spice. Then I found Roberto’s of Santa Cruz. Spicy, garlicky, fresh. This is my holy grail and what I buy from now on.

They’ve got it at Safeway and Whole Foods where I’m at, in the refrigerated section. Not sure if they carry it in your location. But it’s on Amazon, apparently.

  • Yes all of them lol. It was a quiet hike until that

  • Went camping for a night out in the remote Amazon jungle, accompanied by local guides. The next morning we were trekking and heard a strange buzzing and hissing sound. It filled the rainforest and sounded like we stumbled into a witches coven or something. There was loud whooping and whistling, but more than anything - this ominous chorus of sustained droning.

Turned out it was a pack of giant Amazon river otters in the water. These guys get as big as 6 ft. The sound was freaky and they were bearing their fangs at us trying to intimidate, swimming in an agitated manner. No doubt they could have ripped us to shreds if they wanted to. We had higher ground and kept our distance. I managed to take a short video.

After a couple minutes they climbed out of the water and galloped into the jungle. And I mean it when I say galloped. We couldn’t believe how fast they could move on land.

I firmly believe that these are the last animals you would want to come face to face with in all of the Amazon. I would rather face a jaguar than a mob of angry giant river otters.

Short Video (OC): https://files.catbox.moe/phsta3.mov Wish the phone picked up the low end of the droning better.

  • I actively avoid videos with those awful thumbnails, but I figure it must result in a net gain in clicks.

  • there are certain species with a darker side—for example, carnivorous caterpillars that eat aphids, butterflies that drink alligator tears, or "vampire" moths that feed on livestock blood. Add to that list the newly discovered "bone collector" caterpillar, which conducts daring raids on spider webs for sustenance, camouflaging itself in the body parts of already-consumed insects to avoid being eaten.

If you're going to live in Smaug's lair, you'd better look like treasure."

  • Yeah I’ve been saying they keep coming from the reddthat instance lol. These < 1 day old accounts whose first and only post is on AskLemmy. After that the post gets deleted. Idk what that’s all about

  • You gotta make up bullshit excuses for banishing them from the community lol. I watched this whole thing in a Mormon documentary. Always questioned how that works. So these creepy old men take all these wives, even young ones, like young people aren’t going to be crushing on and ogling each other and eventually realizing it’s all rigged

And funny how it’s never the other way where women can take multiple husbands🤔

  • Definitely loss of relationships. Not romantic, but friends and family drifting apart. Wondering how they are, dwelling, trying to figure out where things went wrong.

  • Oh oops, I didn’t know you could do that. I reported them for being a bot posing as a human xD 😅
