  • There's also "A Half-Built Garden" novel where the whole "git as means of direct democracy" is central to the plot. Is gitpunk a genre?

  • If there is one irreplaceable content network, it's youtube. The amount of quality shit you can watch there for free is insane.

  • Thanks! I've only seen two of those, will check them out for sure. Severance especially looks right up my ally.

  • Very fair. Resonates with me somewhat, tho I still come to the anime well for comfort vibes.

What kind of shows do you watch instead, care to recommend some?

  • Immortality+invulnarability has to break physics somehow. Use that loophole to extract energy and build an entire civilization around yourself.

Be the immortal sun god of the endtimes.

Will probably be fun for a few trillion years.

  • Any particular reason why?

  • how dare you. I have friends they just go to a different school

  • It's all vibes. There is no cheat code, you just have to grok social ques by spending lots of time with people. Put your 10000 hours in, its worth it people are fascinating.

  • That is one load-bearing "anyway"

  • Because modern windows is garbage and old windows is full of holes. Or at least that's why I switched 🤷

  • You can give LLM some API endpoints for it to "do" thing. Will it be intelligent or coherent, that's a different question, but it will have agency..

  • The problem imo is deception. I honestly think bots wouldn't be out of place on facebook if they were all clearly marked as such, and you could filter all generated content with a single toggle.

  • If you take him at face value, he's a:

    1. developer -- no way a PM can deal with AI code directly
    2. senior/mid level -- since he was a team lead at some point
    3. reviews and revises AI code all day

Leave him alone, the man is already in a hell of his own creation

  • We gotta preserve our curiosity and childish naivite. Imagine yourself a professor sharing a beauty of math -- the good ones are always as excited to explain it, as the first time they've felt it ^^

  • Its also popular and easier to google issues for.

  • M cannot replicate the particle after they read it, so A and B will detect M's attempt when they compare results.

The same as classical one-way encryption, it only works through authenticated channel tho. It's not magic, you have to have some kind of pre-existing secret or rely on third-party authentication

  • It's at least half a decade earlier on the enshittification timeline.

It is better than xitter right now (almost anything is) but the earlier you quit the black-box-algorithm-skinnerbox needle, the better.

  • it was stopped because there were still powerful opponents of fascism who eventually managed to stamp it out

Of the western countries that fought fascism, most were flirting with it before the war. Certainly the UK, US and France had their fascist sympathizers. Germany just went a little too fast and the frog jumped out of the boiling water.

Hopefully it'll go similarly this time: one nation goes full nazi and the rest pull the breaks.
