How much student debt did you get and what degrees did you get? Any reasonable degree and as long as you didn't just waste time at college for 10 years on a bachelors, you should be completely fine.

students get 50k in debt to make 1-1.5m more in their careers. It's an investment, how is that predatory?

I understand some practices are, and it's been spurred by the government releasing the flood gates of loans, letting 18 year olds rack up 200k in debt while encouraging universities to bloat the costs of college, but for the most part, getting a degree and going in debt is worth every penny.

You're telling me that instead of taking their excess cash from interest payment freezes and paying the principal of the loans, people spent it and spent even more and are still going to complain how they have student loans?

Fucking good. We've constantly spent more than our peer countries on public education, but our quality of education is trash. I don't know if it's the bloated admin state, the desire to constantly try to teach new things in various ways then ditching the programs after 2 years, or just overall incompetence, but our education system is incredibly well funded, but doing shitty.

Yeah, take the money that you want to go to rich white educated people who aren't struggling, and put it towards programs that help those in poverty, give incentives for individuals to donate to food banks, donate their time to charities and after school programs for inner city kids.

I want to offer minorities after school programs to keep them off the streets, you want to give white people making 100k/year a handout. We are not the same

States can pass what laws they want, why can't you be fine with california doing what they want in their state, why do you need people in wyoming to abide by what california wants? That's the tyranny of the majority that our founding fathers recognized that you're too ignorant to realize.
