  • To each their own I guess. It's not bothersome for me to switch accounts as I normally browse each lemmy locally to make sure I'm seeing as many of the comments as possible. I never really subscribed to the "subscribe/follow" feature of reddit. I liked my front page and all my niche communities separate so when I want to read about xxx I go to xxx subreddit and read all the top posts then move to my next subreddit. To many things fall through the cracks of the front page IMO. But to each their own, again. There is no reason to run lemmy like I do vs one account if it is working for you as is.

  • It had to do with how the cards were presented and how the quick menu and swipe up/down worked. I preferred the previous way but the new way worked just fine. Just took an extra click to use it how I wanted.

It came down to changing how it looked / worked after everyone was already used to how it currently was. People get upset for no good reason sometimes and this was one of those times.

  • Sync is one of the big mobile apps for reddit that is getting shut down on the 30th with reddit's API changes.

  • 3 of them were defederated by beehaw but I also have a beehaw account and then 2 others just in case... But I am sure I'm not the only one like this. So the total lemmy numbers are probably inflated... not that reddit numbers aren't also inflated.

  • Bots and multi-accounts. I had one reddit account with no alts. Here I have like 6 accounts because of all the federated / non federated bs.

  • I'm excited for a few of these games but im not sure I have the time to download the demos and play them. Might be able to get one or two over the weekend I guess.

One Lonely Outpost looks like it could be a cool futuristic stardew valley with a colony management sim thrown on it.

Moonstone Island looks like another good take on SDV. (I like farming games...)

Jumplight Odyssee also looks good. Been following it since the announcement last year?

    Pacific Drive also looks fun.

Hammerwatch II. First one was pretty fun coop game.

  • is 17.5 about to drop? Is there a community for patch notes etc without having to sift github?

  • For the first 12 hrs or so it was just a bunch of as reddit posts. Like 20 pages of it and a few political

  • This problem existed on reddit too still. You have r/games r/game r/gamers r/gamenews r/gamernews etc. All trying to do the exact same thing.

  • I thought it would be more painful to abandon reddit but jerboa and the explosion of content today has me less worried. I think reddit is now in serious trouble.
