We do in Denmark, but from what I understand, it's not strictly necessary.

This is the first time I've heard of Qudelix or the 5K. It looks nifty and the reviews I found were quite positive! It's great that you found something that works well for you, so you don't need tons of different stuff lying around.

I'm not sure, but it looks like the Stadia controller...

Oh, I do think my Eikons are high end cans, I would just love to have couple more pairs of the same caliber. Preferably two more sets from ZMF, or perhaps a pair of HD800s. I never took a dive into ChiFi, but have been considering buying a Chinese amp for work, although a JDS Atom is just as affordable.

I found Garuda to be bloated when I tried it out, but I didn't try it on a beefy gaming rig, so maybe my system was just underpowered? I use Pop!_OS on my gaming rig and have had very few problems with it (most problems I've had are because I use a(n?) Nvidia GPU) and those problems have been easily solved.

There's light rail in Odense too. And Copenhagen wants one as well...

I bought a pair of ZMF Eikons and the JDS Element v2. That has been enough for me mostly, but I do get an itch sometimes to buy more high end cans. I was at CanJam a couple of years ago and really enjoyed listening to the difference between all these different headphones, and I would love to have a couple more in the same class as the ZMFs, to have something to switch between. That said, these days I use my senheiser 650s a lot too, while my Beyerdynamic DT770 pros are mostly unused after I got the ZMFs.

Did you not get sucked into the mechanical keyboards hole? Good for you! I subscribed to r/mk for a long time, but luckily jumped ship before I started getting into custom keyboards. I do have a mech keyboard though but only a basic WASD V2 with cherry clears. Nothing fancy.

I do miss having the money to buy new headphones and amps. I love music and movies, so the headphone hobby actually made a lot of sense to me, and I don't see any of the equipment I've bought as a waste of money. I love my expensive headphones and smile every time I use them 🙂

The meaning is perfectly clear. I believe English speakers would say "...is in its infancy" but that's just a common way of saying "early stages" not a proverb per se.

I've been using Connect and Liftoff most of my time on Lemmy - can you compare those two to Sync, if you've tried them?

I think more generally people use " hr. og fru Jensen" for a more exact analog of "John/Jane Smith"

But Peter Jensen was the most common name in Denmark for many years, so you're not completely wrong.
