Nice write-up as usual. It's embarrassing seeing Jobst lose that defamation suit. We all would've loved to see Billy Mitchell be humbled a bit. But yeah, Karl did sort of misrepresent his case to his audience.
Your unpopular opinion is that users commenting nothing but "ai slop" on slop ai posts is counterproductive to the discussion, as it provides nothing of value.
I'd argue that posting ai slop in and of itself provides nothing of value. There is nothing of value in generative ai. People are going to comment on it, because it's bad. Get over it, I guess.
He's probably my favorite director at Nintendo. Played hundreds of hours of the original, too. Hopefully the original makes a comeback in their new GameCube NSO lineup.
Thank you for this. I've also just sadly discovered that Google adds Adobe-specific DRM to their books. I was fiddling with Calibre plugins to remove the DRM and couldn't get it to work :/
This is where I'm at: a Synology running a few services like Plex for my family and friends. I'm hoping to learn more and help us all move from walled gardens even further. Some of Synology's software can feel a little clunky to use but generally I've found it to work great despite my limited knowledge.
If I don't get up before 8:30am or so, my husky will softly grumble until I get up. The grumbles get progressively louder.
