  • I had a TV with picture-in-picture. That was a great feature for avoiding commercials.

  • I'm not anti physical media; I buy Blu Ray discs because they offer a much higher bitrate than streaming. However with three people using my PS5, the convenience of not needing to swap discs outweighs the advantage of having a physical copy that I am highly unlikely to sell or lend.

  • I've been trying to get my family name .com for years. I have no plans for it but neither does the current owner. They either paid for like 15 years in advance or they just keep reupping. I am not willing to make them an offer since I want it for the bare minimum.

  • I know it's gross but is there a real health risk to inhaling fecal particles?

  • Yes. I pay for YouTube Music for my six account family and, as a side benefit, we all get ad-free YouTube.

  • Masters of Doom by David Kushner

  • Legs in particular get a lot less attention from me in the winter as mine tend to dry out and become itchy even with moisturization.

  • I'm in the same boat but I've had that SSD sitting in a box next to my PC for the past six weeks. I can't seem to dredge up the time to work on this project.

  • The eastern third of CO is all plains and definitely feels like the Midwest, but hardly anyone lives there.

  • And I'm on a 5a and don't have unlimited.

  • Yep, and the article says that:

"The show's cancellation is indicative of the kinds of challenges owners of platforms (like Apple, Amazon, Google, and others) face when they are producing content, too."

  • I truly believe he'll never see the inside of a jail cell because the powers that run the country are terrified of what his nutcase acolytes will do.

  • You don't have to "elevate" a person in order for them to be a leader. You just have to recognize that they have a certain organizational skill set that not everyone has. That skill set helps things get done. It's just a job and they're just people.

  • A lot of expensive business consulting (think PwC or Deloitte) exists just to tell organizations things the orgs already know.

  • I've been paying for a family plan for Google's music streaming service for years. It has long included YouTube premium so the six family members I have on the plan don't see YouTube ads. I guess it's good that creators get a somewhat bigger cut of money from us, but honestly if I didn't use the music streaming service, I'd be in the same boat as everyone else - desperately looking for a better way to block ads.

  • Hard disagree on Andor. That's the best show Disney Plus has created.

  • Looks like a blast. I used to love my local renaissance faire but the last few times I've gone it's just been mobbed - more people than Paris after 1348.

  • The 17 year old technology of blu ray is apparently too new fangled for my library. Almost all of their collection, including new acquisitions, is the 27 year old format of DVD.

  • I'd rather watch an HD blu ray than one of these crappy 4K streams provided by Netflix.
