escalation is actually an amazing deterrent. protests from the early US prove there is actually a lot to be gained. they can be incredibly effective.

what these execs do to the American public is more worth of a terrorism charge than anything mangione ever did.

i'm gonna have to go ahead and disagree with you there. its been easy as hell to cheat on your taxes for a long time. extremely easy to invent stuff and end up owing 0. not as easy for them to actually check. especially not now.

This is funny, but its a bit disappointing that almost no one is talking about how Musk was trying to get his friend appointed head of NASA, thereby assuring long term government contracts with Space X.

to counter, if you don't think about / or want to think about politics at all, you're probably a willfully ignorant, selfish, asshole.

politics may not be everything, but everyone is affected by them, whether or not you like it or acknowledge it. If you are socially responsible, you do the bare minimum of acknowledging politics and at least staying somewhat up to date rather than shunning it entirely.

The settings import / export feature is extremely cool.

Reminds me of the many times I was banned from reddit for no good reason and then had to reset every one of my subs. So much easier, and just goes to back up the decentralized philosophy of lemmy.
