That's what I don't get.

The owner of the yacht doesn't give a shit. It's beneath them.

I find that noteworthy in a good way.

Usually the pawns get the book thrown at them and the people pulling the strings either get off Scott free or get a also on the wrist. I'm hopeful to see what the crooks at the top will get.

They're putting themselves into an awkward position to have to accept that a fetus is a person and thus eligible to receive tax deductions, use the car pool lane, etc.

Being informed and not getting into arguments aren't related.

Don't argue with people. If they want to disagree with facts, walk away.

Being around other kids helps kids learn social skills.

Most of us do that in school. Homeschooled kids can lack that depending on how the parent socializes their kids. Some homeschooling parents realize that they have to socialize their kids. Those parents put their kids in sports or scouts or other places where the kid can socialize. Other parents are oblivious that social skills are learned, then you can end up with some really awkward people out there.

Find out when the next meeting is. Tell them you're going to attend.

Organize all the other dog owners and all of you attend. Explain why the new rule is a burden on you all. Explain what you want. Listen to their reasoning. Come to an agreeable compromise.

A lot of people with revoked/cancelled/suspended licenses still drive. We don't have a good mechanism to actually keep someone from driving.

The cops used to run plates and take action when the registered owner had one if those statuses and the driver had a vague appearance to the owner. In most places they're not allowed to do that anymore.

When the rules are laws, lawyers argue in front of judges and define the grey areas. They change the grey areas from time to time. We as a society have agreed to have a single interpretation of those rules.

In religion, when people don't agree on the rules or how they should be interpreted, they can break apart and form their own religion. There is no governing body with the power to enforce the single interpretation.
