I think it's the fact that those groups are the gender groups that is causing the frustration. If it's arbitrary, why did it have to be the same system we use to classify organisms and personal identities?

My gut feeling says that's not entirely true. Generative AI has so many qualities that make could it offensive to so many people, I think we were going to see a pushback from artists regardless. The devs' shitty training practices just happened to give the artists a particularly strong case for grievances.

The GPO method should work similarly, and it's what I'm going to try as soon as I see it start showing up on my work domain. I say when, not if, because these things have a way of getting around our deployment schedules. I just know one day will get a dm from a user asking if its a virus and I'll end up finding out a third of the office already loves it.

That's the problem though. His core supporters define themselves by who they oppose, so anything negative said about him is seen as an attack and becomes fuel for the hate machine

Unfortunately the Republican strategy for a while has been voting with courts in mind. When the only thing you care about is appointing judges, the game becomes "our team at all costs"

It's a winning play in a first-past-the-post voting system. I don't see it changing without voting reform.

One of the games I play on my commute is imagining what the bike route would be like. I looked it up once and every path included a high traffic street with no sidewalk; where I live, that's straight up flirting with death. Cycling in my area requires a large group and/or limited capacity for risk assessment.

Except if you have a pretty good life and don't want to mess up the timeline that led you there.
