I find it funny that American republicans seem to want a king, when the definition of republicanism is a government without a king.

I would say that I out loud laugh at comments here pretty often. Not because they were trying to be funny, but because these people are so unbelievably disconnected from reality that some of the shit they say is just hilarious.
My only other real complaints on Lemmy is the lack of user feedback and the laughable moderation. Often times I'll be banned from a sub without me knowing so it just gives me errors for trying to upvote or leave a comment. Just tell me it's because I'm banned. Giving me an error just makes me wonder if that instance is down or something.
I have been banned from subs I've never even interacted with simply because they saw I had comments with lots of downvotes. That's ridiculous. I have received several bans for rules I haven't broken. I have lost track of how many comments have been deleted by "automod" days after I left the comment. It's clearly just a mod using the automod as a layer of anonymity.
Overall I have had an alright experience with Lemmy. Some users are very kind and helpful. Many of them are elitist snobs that think they are the most intelligent humans put on this planet.
I thought reddit was a left wing echo chamber at times and then I got here. I didn't realize how much worse it could get.
