  • I'm feeling a little bamboozled by the kick car. The photos before testing that fade looked great. On track it looks like a hard line. They really need to fix that. It looks like they just forgot to paint it from certain angles.

Testing times are completely meaningless, but I do feel like redbull is gonna be struggling for the first few races. It looks like they barely touched the car....

  • No what's insane is these riders will fly past spectators mere inches from a wall at speeds upwards of 200mph.

The highest recorded speed of the riders on one of the straights is 206mph I believe. The record for highest average speed of a lap (which is nearly 38 miles long) was 136mph in a little over 16 minutes.

Insane doesn't even begin to describe these riders and that race.

  • Yeah we have that over at

    Oops. All extremists now.

The internet pretty much pushes people far left or right these days.

  • Midnight club 3 dub edition was THE game my brother and I played to the point the disk stopped reading eventually. That was a sad day.

If you're getting into motorsports in general and you liked rally I might recommend checking out the isle of Mann tt. It's the single most deadly motorsports event held each year. It averages more than two and a half deaths every year. Last year was super rare in that nobody died. Last time that happened was like 2012 I think. The most insane race car drivers in the world will tell you that nobody is more batshit crazy that the Isle of man riders. Even rally drivers look at them and think they are nuts.

  • Guns=cool Cars=cool Explosions=cool Attractive women=cool Saving the world from certain destruction=cool

They are only slightly more sophisticated than a transformers movie. You're there for the spectacle and "fun" of it not the deep meaning of life or art of film making necessarily.

  • We need more people like you. Sadly too many people these days see no problem with "cancelling" someone simply because they knew a bad person or were related to one.

Talk about a slippery slope. I'm pretty sure we all know someone who is a horrible person.

  • In the real world you would just be an apolitical and apathetic person.

On Lemmy you're gonna get labeled as right winger because to them indifference is exactly the same as full support of the opposition.

    Best of luck.

  • I've got a tweaked muscle in my back from helping my mom move some heavy furniture around last weekend still. Other than that I have no major complaints about life at the moment.

I do have the minor complaint that people like you think anyone who holds even one single stance that is slightly right of center is a full blown conservative (even when they have never voted red in their lives), but you walked away from that thread to make this post just like most people on this site do when they don't know what to say to me anymore.

So far Lemmy users seem to think there are "normal" people who are exactly like them (which is extremely far left) and then anyone who is even slightly right of that is considered a nazi conservative racist Republican shitbag that deserves to die.

But other than those things life is peachy. How about you?

    Also waffles>French toast> pancakes

  • No but you don't understand. America is the worst country on the entire planet since the dawn of time!!!

  • Racing Bulls I think the best combo of helmets of any teams. Yuki almost got my favorite lid of the field. I'm actually surprised how much I like Hadjars.

Black and green is my favorite color combo so Hulks lid is my favorite of 2025 so far.

  • Yeah I mentioned that in my other comment. I always test boot my new builds while outside the case with just the CPU installed. I like to make sure it's posting each time I add new hardware so I can know before I put it all in the case that something is wrong. I have never had a board refuse to post without a cooler or fans connected, but they will give warnings out the wazoo though.

  • I was gonna say... Nothing about Lemmy is even remotely balanced. This whole place is leaning so far left it's almost horizontal.

The few "conservative" subs I've seen post like once a day and they get downvoted regardless of the information. Hell the main conservative sub is now another place posting memes shitting on Trump since they had no active mods.

If twitter is a righty shit hole then Lemmy is a lefty circle jerk.

  • Man I used to check if systems would post without a cpu cooler installed at all back in the day. I wouldn't run it for more than a few seconds but just long enough to make sure it was posting.

Had a buddy burn his finger pretty good because he wanted to know how hot a cpu would get without a cooler lol. Turns out they get hot enough to burn humans within a couple seconds lol

  • I've built a lot of computers in my lifetime and my only guess when reading your post was that somehow one of them was causing a short and that short was somehow preventing the system from successfully posting, but I'm not sure how that would work exactly.

My level of technical knowledge ends about there. I can troubleshoot and swap hardware all day, but idk how a case fan would cause a system not to boot specifically.

Unless.... Was one of the case fans running from the CPU header for some reason? Maybe the board thought the CPU fan was cooked and it was preventing a boot for safety? I've never seen anything like that safety speaking, but I could believe it exists.

  • I vaguely recall hearing that his son had no interest in running the company but that was also years ago. Hopefully whoever is set to take over when he goes shares his exact same views on keeping the company private.

    Only time will tell.

  • I've been using cm/360 for awhile now.
