  • That is so cool. Thank you for sharing it.

It reminds me of what makes me continue to be bearish on BitCoin.

I worked at a pretty advanced technical place, with a woman, let's call her Janet.

If the system misplaced 2 cents, Janet would hunt you down and make you find it.

All that tech could melt down tomorrow, and I would still do business there, as long as Janet was there.

If the entire world economy collapses, I will still bank with Janet.

If Janet is using pen and paper, I trust that's good enough for me. If Janet is using one massive Excel file, fine by me. If Janet starts accepting payment in weirdly shaped rocks, I will accept weirdly shaped rocks as payment, too.

And when Janet adopts BitCoin, then I'll be all-in on BitCoin.

  • "Data, can you run a self-diagnostic on your optic sensors and, if it checks out, check your logs from the last time you saw Mr Wallace."

"Accessing now. Sensors read intact inclusive of the last time I was in the presence of Mr Wallace."

"Thanks Data. Now, anaylze that sensor log and let me know if Mr Wallace looks like a bitch."

    ...

"Data, I could use your help again. Can you check your audio sensor logs for me. Did this MF say 'what' again, about 2 seconds ago?"

"Of course, Geordi...My audio logs are intact, and I can confirm with certainty that he did say 'what', again."

  • I would watch this.

And I figure there's hope. If the current trend of comics predicting movies continues, it's only a matter of time before we get a series of "X vs Y" cross franchise Summer Blockbusters.

If so, I will be there so quick for "Star Trek vs Terminators".

  • Yeah. We have a pretty big overlap between Trekkies and Rocky Horror Motion Picture Show fans.

I think I'm gonna have mash-ups going through my head all day now.

"It's just a jump to the left, and a deflector dish recalibratioooooooon."

  • That's a good point. I do love options.

I'll still jest a little at Pythons expense until a type system is natively available.

Having the option of not using types is great.

Having to go discover how to do basic typing in a 3rd party library is not great.

I adore Python, though - Right down to it's painful Logging modules.
