  • What phase 2 specifically if you don't mind sharing? They mention in this article starting with a phase 1 for celiac and then a phase 1 for MS.

I've also seen so many of these over a couple decades now. I have RA and MS and often times while hope can be important. As Red said, hope is a dangerous thing and can drive a man insane.

  • I'm a fan of the word Cunt as a term of endearment after having a few online friends from Australia over the years. Shame you can't really use it much in the states in such a way.

  • Aren't many of the hard copies for games now still needing huge downloads? Even to the point where some there is no data on the disc, only the key that says you own it?

  • Also the lore you could find that gives glimpses into the past really helped if you cared or took the time to listen/read them.

  • Horizon's story stuck with me for a few weeks after completing it. Also one of the few games I played all the way through without playing other games as well. I usually have to play a few different games so I don't get burned out of any one game.

I agree on the God of War games as well. So well done.

    Also, Fuck Ted Faro.

  • So China wants to hold onto Cold War grudges and issues while constantly accusing the west of continuing Cold War era politics.

  • Considering how detailed he was 20 years later on some of the stuff, I doubt that. This guy got off on those memories. Plus he was caught because he couldn't help himself and liked the attention years after his last killing.

I think some of these guys just don't want the further trials and probably see no benefit to admitting anything more. Maybe that is where he is at. Or maybe he just wasn't involved. Though the police should investigate it still of course.

  • Considering how easily he discussed his crimes once caught, surprising that he wouldn't just admit to these if he was the one that killed them.

  • How dare you to imagine there is more than one way to tackle the issues.

  • I think part of the problem is so many things have relied on it up until now. I read how at a college shooting that was the main way they had to tell people to stay where they were. Which is a problem if that is your only way to communicate in an emergency situation.

So much news is passed quickly from it or other social media. If you're not on it now you're often left in the dark. Which is good for mental well being for some of us (me), but bad at other times.

  • Also doesn't help that of the three guns they found at his home, one of them was supposedly stolen.

  • It doesn't happen often, but I do this for people in my life occasionally as well with online. I type out a whole response that I would want to say. Then I delete it without sharing it. It is often enough for me to realize it just doesn't matter and it is better to move on.

  • This reminds me when you google if a certain company or product is good or legit and the top one is posted from the companies website.

  • It also gives them no ammo to say this is all some liberal attack. Even though they'll still keep saying it is. Reality doesn't often play a part in the cult of his followers.

  • Didn't know Tecmo Bowl had a game for Gameboy. Played it and Tecmo Super Bowl so damn much on NES though.

  • My parents are actual boomers by the definition. Though I think my dad was technically just before the actual Boomer generation. I lost him last December. I don't really remember it but they raised me to be polite. So they must have been as well.

Interesting story, I used to go to a family owned Mexican restaurant that my parents were well known at. The owners daughter waitresses a lot. One day I had asked her for something adding please at the end. And she thought it was the oddest thing. She said I didn't need to say please. As if because they was serving us my politeness wasn't needed. That seemed odd to me. I'm guessing she was millennial just by the age she looked. Was younger than me but not a teen. It didn't stop me from saying please and thank you, but for some reason that always sticks in my head.

My mom recently said she noticed I am like that with servers and other staff at places much more than my siblings are. I spent a lot of time with my grandparents and people in their circle growing up. Much more tha my siblings did so maybe I got it from them. The pre-boomers whatever they would be called.

  • This along with toilet paper for sure. I did paper towels once that reviews said they were just as good. They lied. They weren't close. It isn't worth the price difference as you go through so much more.

  • I appreciate that link, thanks. I have built a few, haven't even painted though. I just like building stuff I don't need glue for.

Those builds remind me of a guy I worked with that back in the day would be a model builder for cars that the model companies hired to build the model for the box covers before they mostly started using photos of real cars. He was just so talented. Even bashed some kits so they could be molded to create new models for some companies. One of them was when they wanted an old woody station wagon so he basically took 10 different kits and created it for their mold.

  • Have run across a community for that a lot since coming on Lemmy. It is pretty crazy and I had no idea.
