  • I had a buddy who earnestly tried to get kicked out of the Coast Guard, supposedly the most notorious for dishonerable discharge. Rather than court marshalling or even taking a rank, they kept promoting him until his term was up, hoping to retain him. He was really good at his job. This was some 30ish years ago and just anecdotal, but it doesn't exactly inspire my confidence that any branch has any integrity.

  • It's as alarming, but turning a war machine on anyone, especially your own people, is a declaration of war, and Congress not addressing it as such, and impeaching/court marshalling the responsible parties is another bullet in the dead Constitution.

  • It needs to re-form as something different. No state should have veto power, no state that bullies others, internally or externally should be on the security or human rights councils, no state that isn't signatory to charters should get any vote. States that refused to arrest on warrants should have membership revoked. Probably more but those would be good starting points.

  • While Lee claimed the land could be used to address the need for affordable housing, critical observers saw the proposal as merely an effort to pay for tax breaks under Trump. And, under the plan, there would have been “no significant guardrails to prevent valued public lands from being sold for trophy homes, pricey vacation spots, exclusive golf communities, or other developments,” according to the Center for American Progress.

  • The Trump administration made aggressive cuts to training programs for blue-collar workers

He didn't do it for the right reason, but it also should be the wealthy capitalists who pay for training, as well as excellent compensation for the job. Any other way is subsidizing wealthy welfare queens. Nope on that and let's use precise language that makes it clear who subsidizes who. The wealthy are the greedy, lazy takers, not our regular joes and janes.
