  • Maybe. Chaos births order births chaos ♾️. Regardless of what that users intentions are, I feel people who wish to learn and grow will, those who view everything as a zero sun game may look like "winning," for a time, but are the biggest losers, ultimately, notwithstanding awards, accolades, and resources they manage to hoard, until they pass away.

That's not excusing them from hoarding, and gleefully creating suffering or amusement in their wake. Just a footnote to say if you're inclined to make informative posts, those who are teachable will learn (and also maybe ask annoying questions).

  • Would you like me to explain the rules ❀◕ ‿ ◕❀

From the various sects? You're to be here a long time, my friend. I think a lot of westerners will be surprised, myself included, from the much I never knew, to that I knew and forgot, because what I remember certainly surprised me at the time I learned. I'm of the opinion a fresh post with the basics and some nuances would be very enlightening. I forgot the word some Iberian Peninsula muslims use when they don't kill a sworn enemy when that very enemy seeks their protection, but I think a lot of westerners would be surprised by that as well.

  • If not sooner or as soon as he distanced himself from Reverend Wright's words, let alone with quitting his church over them to become more powerful, we should have known. And it's easy to "sell our souls" by centimeters, of "not as bad," and I've certainly been guilty. It creeps up on us.

It's hard to know exactly when that sudden, terrible decisive action needs be taken, but there is a point when not taking it is the worse crime against humanity. In thinking of the necessary terrible wars fought, I think of the Kali myth of going into battle to help her husband. She licked the blood from the ground not as an act of simple bloodlust, but because not doing that would mean a demon would have sprung from every drop spilled.

What that looks like in a decisive war action is in need of serious and long discussion.

  • It's a tragedy that we glorify the suffering, rather than the reason for it and triumph over it, metaphorically or literally. That's profane, whether the empty cross, crucifix, murder and enslavement of millions based on gender/conformity, ethnicity, lack of/creed. Remember the suffering to not repeat it, on self or others, celebrate the triumph over such believable lies. If it's wrong when done to us, it's wrong to do it to each other.

  • I'm glad she brought up Clinton's sterling endorsement of the dnc preferred candidate. The Clintons are the D version of Graham, in that they must stay relevant, when everyone sane wishes they'd be silent and go away.

As co-chair of the California Legislative Jewish Caucus, Wiener has been instrumental in advancing several pieces of legislation aimed at promoting Holocaust education, as well as countering antisemitism and anti-Israel activism, especially on university campuses.[144][145] Wiener and CLJC worked to include "guardrails" in the ethnic studies legislation to "provide clear direction to local school districts and the California Department of Education that anti-Jewish and anti-Israel content cannot be included in the teaching of ethnic studies".[146][147] Through CLJC, Wiener played an important role in securing $80 million from the state budget for various Jewish community priorities for 2024-2025,[148] as well as a similar amount in 2021.[149] Wiener and CLJC have also been criticized by Jewish Voice for Peace for "twist[ing] criticism [of Israel] into antisemitism"[150] and opposing a Gaza cease-fire resolution in Sacramento, while only stating that Israel should "be more surgical" in Gaza.[151] Wiener and other CLJC officials commended California State University Chancellor Mildred García for placing Sonoma State University President Mike Lee on leave after Lee announced support for an academic boycott of Israel in agreement with protesters and Students for Justice in Palestine,[152][153][154] which was seen as aligning with the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement, and which Wiener described as "horrific and wrong".[155][156][157] 😖
