While true, a large majority of the overdoses in the last decade are due to street drugs not being pure. The clean drugs will kill you eventually, the street drugs will kill you today.
The extensibility and transparency has always been the big ones for me. It is such a pain not being able to dig into exactly how a program works. Documentation is ok but open code is infinitely better.
Is anyone else going through and guessing at where people are from?
All the cheese people I'm guessing are either French or from the American Midwest (the former eating significantly different cheese than the latter). The tea people are probably British. Peanut Butter is likely a North America only thing.
Yeah, he keeps saying that 🇨🇦 did this and 🇨🇦 did that, but this isn't an autocratic country and 🇨🇦 can't just wave a wand and end all crime/fraud. It's a shame, the Canadian government and law enforcement should do better, but it's not 🇨🇦's fault.
Oh wow, now I understand why I disagree with them so much. Being communist is one thing, but being antidemocratic is a whole other thing. Thanks for the explanation!
There are authors starting to publish without a publisher. I think that is the right direction, not making all books free. Maybe once the publishers have less control there will be some copyright reforms to shorten the time it takes to bring works into the public domain. Right now it is 95 years from publishing, but I think the author's life plus 30 years or something might make a bit more sense. For example, George Orwell has been dead for over 70 years, but his works are still under copyright.
You summed it up really well. It's so sad to compare the white house to Sussex drive. It should be a piece of history, not a falling down wreck. I don't think we should go as far as the states, but it should at least be kept in a reasonable state.
The other important half of this is limiting bottled water. They are only extracting because someone is buying it.
