  • You're splitting hairs on the difference between violating a country's territory and threatening its existance, and since you need it spelled out, they aren't just any nuke-holding country. They are one of a few that has the capability to wipe all life on earth even if their targets never returned fire, but please, do go on about how going gloves-off at them "by proxy" is such a great idea.

You'll have better luck convincing Russia to back down by diplomatic means than you will convincing NATO to do what you are suggesting. That's how stupid of an idea it is.

  • No need to worry about ground-based Russian Anti-Air if you're staying away from territory under Russian control. If the Su-34's Air2Air capabilities were much good, we wouldn't be here reading/discussing OP's post.

Stealth(F-35 "stealth" anyways) ain't shit versus Russia's ground-based assets. It's use in an all-out invassion would be more down to its beyond-the-horizon capabilities, if they even served well there. Try to keep up.

Seriously though, Russia, and Russian territory, are sooo not the match-up you want for the F-35, no matter how much of the complex's Kool-Aide you've drank. This isn't the war, not even the right hemisphere, that it was designed for.

  • Nah. I'm the guy they wrote the "civilian use of weapons of mass destruction" law for. At least according to how they used it against this poor bastard(my personal hero, minus he did it for free).

Me? I would have to plead guilty. Yes, your honor, I fired it because I could, and there was money involved. Why are we wasting time sending me to jail when we could be pointing me at randos you don't like over some oil or whatever?

TL;DR: I would never be charged.

  • More like, you're the ideal operator. I would do it for you though. I would do unholy things in order to have the honor of firing this thing at some Russian tanks, even if I could never tell my friends exactly what I did without offending them.

Fuck, now I need a cigarette.

  • The F16 is more useful to Ukraine at the moment. Until Ukraine is approved to engage in deep strikes on Russia, that will probably remain the case.

The F16 is faster, more maneuverable, and cheaper(including maintenance), vs the F35.

  • SHUT UP! Why couldn't you let him have that little bit of naivette?

Seriously though, its a damn fine idea, if only the US and the DNC weren't totally bat-shit on this front. Why does a little thing like reality have to be so un-cooperative?

  • Only problems I've ever had on TPB were not finding things that I could find on other sites. Then again, I don't use Windows for either downloading or media consumption, I check torrent file lists as I'm downloading to make sure I'm not downloading anything suspect, and I've so far managed to catch wind of things like certain trusted uploaders getting hacked, spoofed, or just plain trying to cash-in, in-time to avoid getting worked over.

Those same users post to most of the other public sites as well, so I'm not getting where TPB is somehow particularly un-trustworthy. IME, other public sites seem to have MANY more torrents for a given search, often by orders of magnitude, so which one is really less moderated?

The REAL encouraged/discouraged is Private vs Public sites and trackers, and I'm not pretending that for all my caveats I haven't been just plain lucky. If you download regularly at all, Private is the way to go.

  • Trump isn't in jail due to his sabotaging the judicial aparatus while in office and the clear threat his voters demonstrate. They have shown themselves to be a credible threat to democracy. I was very wrong, while you and apparently nine others misread my comment

Seriously, do you expect me to lay Trump's on-going freedom, and the January 6th bullshit, at Biden's feet? Biden isn't even running now.

  • "Did they go to bed early or late?" ... they went to bed x hours ago. If anything, the math is easier when your 3am is also their 3am(although am/pm would also have to go out the window). Time-zones or no doesn't tell you when they got up or started working without you asking either.

  • Same question I asked Kusimulkku: do you not even know anyone who works second or third shift? Because we ask eachother about specific sleep schedule times all the time, ie, its a very standard question for most working people.

  • "What time should I call you back, or what time will you be calling me? Is there a time-frame in which I should not call you? Me, I sleep from 10-to-18."

Do you not even know anyone who works second or third shift? Hell, when I was on a line-boat, we did 6 hours on shift, 6 hours off(sleeping). It wasn't that hard for the half-dozen contacts I had set to bypass Do Not Disturb to remember not to call or text me during my off hours unless it was important, and of course I knew when to let them sleep.

Let me ask you this: Do you remember your overseas friends' sleep schedules by their time-zone, or yours?
