Fuck Ubisoft.

  • I think a million times people discussed this and ubi and epic store clients are far inferior compared to steam. People have all the rights to not want their game collection spread across half a dozen platforms.

I personally don't buy anything Ubisoft mainly because their launcher is pure garbage and I hate it with passion.

Steam made me stop pirating games, Epic and Ubi made me overcome my FOMO and be a patient gamer.

  • Love it! Thanks for sharing

  • Trackpad mouse controls are great, even for strategy games. You can fine tune them even further if default is not for your liking.

Aside from the Steam OS I think the trackpads are the other big feature for me to choose SD over the competition.

  • On what settings? Mine mimics a jet engine every time I fire up BG3, no matter what settings or scaling I used so far and I already have the quieter fan in the SD.

  • I loved Tyranny, but the combat was much worse compared to PoE. For newcomers I would recommend the lowest difficulty setting so they can enjoy the excellent writing and story.

  • I still don't understand why they designed the case like this, the charger should easily fit inside without this "hole"

Not that I complain, they give everyone a case with the console, which is awesome but I personally got a slightly bigger one with enough room to store the charger, wireless earbuds and a cloth for the screen.

  • Also they could hide on a cherry tree or something

  • Im sure they have some grand plan for the investors how many jobs they can replace with AI bullshit to increase those sweet-sweet numbers.

  • Ex-smoker/vaper here.

First put down the cigarette after 10+ years of smoking in favor of vaping. This was probably the easiest transition as I like gadgets and the whole vaping culture back then (UK) was huge. Everyone was getting the latest vapes with fancy features, the best juices and flavors. Regular vape maintenance, refilling and coil changes become a great substitute for cigarette rituals.

There was a huge downside of overdoing it. I mean in the beginning a lot. There is no control, no recommendation, and mainly no bad smell. You just whip out the vape indoors, while waiting for the bus, literally anytime.

There is the other issue (at least back then 5-6 years ago it was not really regulated) you could buy juices with any nicotine concentrate, even mix your own. Some of my coworkers even got headaches from overdosing nicotine.

Luckily after a year or so I got kind of bored of the whole vape culture as more vapers developed this self centered asshole personalities, where they think they could start blowing flavoured clouds into the face of others anywhere because "it's safe, it's not smoke" and other stupid reasons.

In the last few months I slowly reduced the nicotine content and reached zero nicotine juice state. Also, I made strict "outdoors vaping only" policy for myself. Without the nicotine I felt less and less will to go outside, just to inhale flavoured vape so I stopped altogether.

For 5 years now I am now nicotine-free and about 7 years without cigarettes, never looked back.

In summary: Vaping is a great tool to quit smoking, but needs careful planning and self control.

  • To win the game they should consider having higher score at the end of match

  • This is also known as method acting

  • I received a transparent silicone case with a third party carrying bag I purchased and first wanted to throw it away but gave it a try.

I quite like it as it gives a much better grip and now it's on my SD 3+ months now. It doesn't feel bulkier at all(I have normal sized hands).

I used the SD without a protective case for 2 years before and it was also ok.

Unless the case makes the deck hot I think its only a personal preference

  • The bar is low

  • There are people who order on shot espresso + one shot decaf. Source: personal experience.

  • Sweet. It will be a great opportunity to see what SteamOS can do on non-valve hardware.

  • Is there any rivalry going on?

I read books from both and other than Kings super fame there is not much difference. I don't prefer either.

  • I much prefer the Steam Decks approach on handheld gaming. Instead of matching the latest desktop systems in hardware they focus on the console-like experience.
