  • In app YouTube player like Reddit Sync had. Drives me nuts when I inadvertently click a YouTube link and it takes me to the YouTube app. It's a pain to get back to Lemmy.

Also, I think I remember a check box on Reddit Sync's in app browser to disable cookies or clear on close or something. That would be nice to have back.

  • I left and haven't been back since they killed off 3rd party apps. I was a Sync user on Reddit and now that there's Sync for Lemmy I can't really tell the difference except for some of the content here and there.

  • Luckily, I ended up signing up for Google Play Music the day it was released for $7.99/mo and that price has been grandfathered in to every change and price hike they've done. So now I get YouTube Music and YouTube Premium for the same price 12 years later. I don't think I'll ever switch music providers or stop watching YouTube if I get to keep the current price.

I don't remember the last time I saw an ad on YouTube.

  • BUG: Auto fill Username and Password is putting the username in the instance and leaving the username box blank. Pixel 5a & Pixel 7 Pro.

  • I ended up buying pro of several reddit apps during my time there just to support the up and coming devs of those apps. Sync will most likely be my daily driver here, but I'd be happy to kick a few bucks towards each of the other Lemmy app devs and buy a pro version. It's the least I could do to show support for the work they've put in so far.
