The per capita stabbing rate in the USA is actually worse than most, if not all of Europe, but it doesn't hit the news because of all the shootings taking up air time.

They don't follow up on the threats - or at least not regularly. (9 years and counting here - even if I somehow get caught and fined the max amount I've still saved money)

My most recent job took SIX WEEKS before they started allocating work to me. And they didn't even have a proper onboarding process - they just sat me down in front of a desk and didn't know what to do with me. I ended up heading over to their manufacturing area and spending a couple of weeks helping people fuck about fixing things because I was so bored.

Yeah, seeing an entire room filled with cubes is very ugly and stifling, but as an introvert I'd want at least one place where I can just work out of sight as it reduces my stress levels significantly.
