  • Nice plugin! You're a champion. Thanks.

  • Emphasis on "running system". Similar to how you can't fully re-partition a disk you're currently using.

  • Good point. Not having to rely on third party software that often breaks on upgrades sounds like a massive improvement for stability.

  • Here's a little taste of the pre-alpha COSMIC DE. Tiling is working great and stacking has been introduced. I've got four Alacritty windows in the left stack. Running from left to right a watch (ss) , the Helix editor, cmus player, and Felix file manager TUI. COSMIC is utilizing my ZSH config and autosuggestions along with autocompletions working great. The right stack is running Firefox, Librewolf Flatpak, Nautilus and COSMIC settings. Resize is working as expected too.

  • Maybe check if that option exists in Flatseal for Flameshot.

  • Mark was right to call the people he’s leaching off of fucking idiots.

It was "dumbfucks". In context, people who trust Zuckerberg with their personal information are dumbfucks. His words.

  • 🤪 Not much to add without being inflammatory, but I hear there's a bunch of humble pies baking.

  • I know right, a real snooze fest! Pop!_OS is so boring I installed it on all my business machines. I've had a good five years of boring old rock-solid performance. With Pop!_OS on seven machines I feel confident that my evenings and weekends will be relaxing, unlike my experiences with many other distros. I get tired, stressed and burned out on operating systems that you are continually fixing and configuring when you're trying to get things done. I'd even go so far as to say Pop!_OS is good for your health. It can lower your blood pressure and has been proven to stimulate your creative flow. The zen-like peace of mind that one gets from using Pop!_OS should be registered with the FDA. It's like an opioid mixed with a cortisol blocker!

  • Yes, Element is the most stable and feature rich Matrix client. Schildi chat is also great. Schildi is a clone of Element and has omissions and inclusions that make it aesthetically appealing and functional. Check it out. Element is great on every platform including Android, and will be releasing a Rust based improvement soon. Another client I've had a good time with, but lacks important features is Fluffy Chat. Works well on Android if you just want to chat. Cinny is a decent client. It's uncluttered and looks nice. Having said, you can't go wrong with Element.

  • Add Matrix as a replacement for email and chat - Just got much better!

  • Sounds like you might have a firewall issue. Check the status of ufw. sudo ufw status

Mullvad's app is excellent as far as VPN clients go. Normally I won't use them and prefer using a config like @slippers suggested or just use a router. However, Mullvad's app is the exception and works well on all my business machines with Pop!_OS. You should check the killswitch status. Another thing you could try is enabling "Quantum core". One of my staff was having issues and that bypassed whatever was happening. It's super quick as an added benefit.
