Have you any idea on the internal situation in Iran? Talk to any Iranian, you will learn of things. Even before the western sanctions the people suffered. This idea of us vs them crap and everything is solely the fault of western influence is insulting to anyone from the region.

I don't think the practice of shooting shotguns into crowds from rooftops was something caused by western sanctions for example.

Enough with two sides team based simplistic sense of geopolitics. Israel is a warmongering aggressor state who is attacking Iran, an autocratic theocracy that commits crimes on its own people on a regular basis. There is no reason two things can not be true and terrible at the same time.

Suuuuuure. And next you will tell me no authoritarian government uses fake emergency vehicles.

But we need to fail faster, and be agile into the cloud!

Its funny (and terrifying) that people, even professionals don't understand how the lie machine works.

Its the end state for a two party system I think. At this point there is not much attempt to run a campaign on policy or plan, just guilt flinging and excuses while both teams say don't vote for the other guys as they are evil.

Sure, but others can do that. Its a very stupid thing to do as a political party however.

Oh and yes the votes do effect visabilty on Lemmy. Some ways of interfacing with lemmy also allow you to see user totals. But that is not the value of votes, the value is in the feedback and interaction on comments.

I think it also has a lot to do with people in the states just not wanting to know the truth of exactly how far gone their empire really is. I often hear that info silos are at fault but people willingly put themselves into those silos.

We are in the exciting sort of times they talk about in history books, and I am starting to understand that most people actively avoid admitting it.

And wildly dishonest to try and spin every campaign as having some choice on whether or not to deploy violence. To top it off, the flat out writing off of all unsuccessful non-violent campaigns as if they don't matter (even though most failed campaigns of these types result in people in cells regardless of if violence was employed or not)

They matter to just about everyone not on hexbear (for them it really matters but they tell us it does not).

Yeah, It is wild we still mostly have people talk about the law as if it currently applies in the us for the ruling group.
