  • I would go for even longer one.

  • Lemmy devs - they are a curse and a blessing. A blessing that they worked on lemmy before reddit exodus. A curse as it's hard to contribute to the codebase and related components.

At least we have mbin and piefed to federate with.

Also in the 2 years since, the culture has shifted. There is less: "This is a new place. let's make it enjoyable for everyone" and more "I am right, everyone is wrong, and I will ruin your day", but that could be just my perception and not enough blocking.

  • Grave of fireflies - film that you watch only once as it's too sad to watch the second time.

  • I tried fedora kinoite and the experience is much worse than bazzite. The nvidia drivers ware a pain to install on kinote but bazzite just provides an image with them already configured.

  • No, and it happens all the time for me. I sometimes hallucinate words inside the text and change the meaning completely.

  • Probably someone followed some community that the bot posts to on your instance and it begun federating.

  • As I understand (I could be wrong) bridgy is not useful as it could be as it got bullied into being opt-in instead of opt-out.

  • Kobo, Pocketbook or used Kindle as there is working jailbreak.

  • Nope.

    1. Install windows on clean disk
    2. Install Linux with custom partitions
      Add 3 new partitions (/boot, /, swap)
    3. Enable os-prober for grub
    4. Set grub as boot in BIOS

Never had problem with windows nuking the bootloader. It never knows it exists.

  • Do they work in Firefox?

  • Somehow I learned how to install my systems without windows doing that.

  • Permanently Deleted

  • Adding to this: TikTok, Shorts and Reels have complete new threat model that begun emerging in 2010'. There is highly likelihood that he will get addicted the first time he touches it.

Things that changed significantly in the last 10 years: AI slop - he will need to learn how to spot fake stuff.
Social Media Algorithms - how to train them to watch stuff you want to watch and not to fall into toxic rabbit hole
Taxis ware replaced by uber and other gig stuff.

  • Update and Shutdown -> go and make tea -> Linux lock screen -> 😐

Windows really dosn't want to be on my system.

  • One reply:

diep.io agar.io slither.io are fine on firefox flatpak with nvidia or without
canvas benchmark is bad on firefox flatpak and firefox ubuntu snap

diep.io agar.io and canvas benchmark is fine on chrome flatpak with nvidia

survev.io is bad on both chrome and firefox and on both cards

it's not firmware. there possibly two bugs:

    1. survev is a bad game that has too much stuff going on outside of screen. don't use it as indicator of quality.
    2. benchmark makes firefox skip frames for some reason.
  • Can you provide all the games that are affected by that stuttering? as agar.io, slither.io and diep.io aren't affected for me and survev.io is VERY poorly optimised.

  • flatpak chrome works fine for me for the benchmark but not for the game.

  • Ok, but there is something here. in 99% percent everything works fine but when @sykaster@feddit.nl and I go to https://survev.io/ the performance is awful. Tested both on X11 and Wayland.
