If there's room we just stick 'em on the next tour, easy as. However if they cannot be rescheduled, corporate's policy is to keep the money and say "sorry, we told you it's non-refundable."
I'm in Eastern Time Zone, but work is a 5 minute drive from Central. We get a few occasions where tourists show up an hour late for their scheduled tour because of this.
If you want an app for your phone, Soulseek has done me absolute wonders. Shockingly it's on the Google play store. It requires an account, but the app automatically makes you one when you use it iirc.
What difference is there to you, then, between "employer pays a reasonable living wage to their employees but raises the prices of the food a bit to accommodate" and "employer pays poverty wages, forcing the customers to pay their employees for them and forcing tax payers to pay up when people earning poverty wages inevitably rely on government programs to simply survive?" If tipping is mandatory, the only people that benefit is the employer since they can simply double dip - spend less money on payroll AND force the customer to make up for your lack of willingness to pay competitive wages. Yes, under current law, employers are supposed to make the difference if tips can't cover at least minimum wage, but that's not enforced nearly as much as it should be, which puts the onus on the workers being exploited in the first place, and even then minimum wage in this country is embarrassingly unfit for supporting anybody.
The more important question to ask is "why am I expected to pay an employee when the money I already give to a business should cover wages in the first place?"
I'm a tipped employee for my day job. I make a decent base pay, but the tips make up for that in spades during busy seasons. I've bought my current car with tip money. Despite this, I fully support getting rid of tips if it meant my livelihood wouldn't be a gamble depending on factors outside my control, and especially if it meant fewer people had to rely on government assistance and could better provide a livelihood for themselves.

No you don't. It is easy to be imprisoned while innocent, such as in the case of wrongful convictions from shoddy evidence, being framed for another person's crime, or even having fake evidence planted specifically to get a conviction.
There are considerable amounts of people currently serving time for crimes they did not commit.
Not to mention all the people serving time for victimless crimes such as possessing marijuana or for committing criminal acts that wouldn't be criminal in a sensible place, such as for insulting your country's royal family.
I don't have answers that haven't already been said, but I'll give a recommendation to Seeker as a means of downloading music outside of streaming apps. It's just a fantastic app for torrenting entire albums from in mp3, ogg, and FLAC format. I've downloaded dozens of gigs of music off it so far and will likely have to grab a terabyte micro SD card for my phone.

I've about 2,000 and counting FLAC files on my micro SD card for high quality audio. Many from my CD collection, and a nice amount obtained through other means. I'm already at 90 gigs used in my 256 gig card.
I'll be getting a new phone at the end of the year, and to transfer all that music (plus my commissioned art collection) all I'd have to do it just pop the card into the new phone.
No wrestling with cloud storage subscriptions or having to worry about my digital stuff being in somebody else's hands. Just keep it on a tiny card smaller than my fingernail and back it up periodically to my desktop and my laptop. Best part is that I don't even need any adapters to use headphones, as Motorola phones still have headphone jacks.
There's people with downloaded movies and shows they like having local access to without any streaming woes, folks who take tons of photos and videos, etc. Having an SD card slot is one of the requirements I need for me to want to use a phone.
