People say that the weather is boring small talk. However, since many kids believe things like rain is teardrop shaped, or heavier things sink and lighter things float, I've been reading quite a bit of physics and earth science stuff, and it's so cool and weird how we have clouds and rain and other weather phenomenona. How does lightning happen? Thunder? Natural disasters?
It's so weird that we exist on a land with these things, and I am dying to learn more. I wish I had studied this stuff earlier. But I guess it's not too late. Excitement ensues.
I love learning when it's for fun and not for grades.
Dog keeps peeing in the house. We have established that it's probably a separation anxiety or boredom thing, because he does it when no one's home. He has a dog door to go outside of. So he shall go on a longer walk and if that doesn't work then I'm not sure.
Most of the links are Spotify and YouTube Shorts have replaced my mass short-form content consumption on other platforms. So that may take a while. I'll go to the history and see if I can extract some of the music. Thanks for the suggestion!
I have a beautiful friend who, after I asked her how she finds her music, has been sending me a song nearly everyday and tells me how she found it. I don't like every song she sends but the thoughtfulness just blows me away.
Anyway, I am considering making a giant playlist of the songs, probably at least 300 of them, because she might like that. But that would mean exporting our text thread with thousands of messages and links, and going through it to find all the Spotify and YouTube links she sent. Maybe there is a faster way?
When I was on a school placement, there was a lot of, "This is boring! Why do I even have to learn this?"
I think a lot of school is about learning how to learn and having to face boring things, because not every job is going to be smelling the roses everyday.
I have to say, the curriculum includes content on respectful relationships and social-emotional learning, which I'm a big fan of. Although I've yet to see anyone teaching this stuff.
Wow. That's a really big difference. Good on you.
I'll get onto it. Hopefully there's something out there that's not going to kill my heart and worsen my anxiety.
